"Ate here as part of my stay at Hotel Daniel. The design and aesthetics are wonderful. The breakfast choices were different and intriguing. The fresh omelette was tasty. That's where the positives end. For dinner I choose the veggie burger. This choice is always a good test of a restaurant because it shows their dedication to all menu choices and their love of food and good ingredients. They burnt the burger. There were carbonised parts. The chips were greasy. The beetroot was not present robbing it of necessary moisture and flavour. If it had been executed properly it would've been an excellent burger because the recipe was spot on. The breakfast layout is confusing and non-intuitive; something I'm sure is part of the urban theme but it just makes life difficult. The much lauded honey was nowhere to be found. Why make it so crowded on the counter tops? The staff should smile more. Personally I think they should wear branded t-shirts so they're identifiable. The breakfast staff in particular were so overrun it made me feel uncomfortable - three staff for so many people was silly. The spoons ran out. The croissants (from frozen) ran out. My table was cleared prematurely twice taking away perfectly good food and leaving me to search for cutlery. Flies, so many flies. It felt like eating in a third world eatery chasing them away. With all the plants I guess it's to be expected but install a zapper to run in the small hours. Twice they got on my food. So overall, could be perfect but on the most basic of things it fails. I'm sure they can do better."

We have mentioned the taste of the bakery and its food already in our review of the hotel. Needless to say it serves best and high quality ingredients in all its items. Its tartes, breads and croissants are unbelievably good...

Stayed at the hotel.We had breakfast and two dinners here.The breakfast was very good, baking your egg while you are waiting.First dinner we had soup and a (very big) toast.Seccond dinner was the BBQ, more or less all you can eat.It had a lot of choices, sausage, pulled pork, fish and grilled vegetables.

Tolled stylish es Ambiente, Personal sehr freundlich. Auswahl und Qualität der Speisen absolut in Ordnung. Besonders die frischen Eiergerichte. Schade, keine Bio Eier und Personal weiss leider nicht woher die Eier kommen. Beim Tee gibt es Luft nach oben erst auf Nachfrage wurde mir ein Schwarztee ausgehändigt. Sollte in dieser Preisklasse nicht passieren. Sonst alles bestens und wir werden auch gerne wiederkommen.

Für 21,- EUR pro Person bekommt man hier ein "All you can eat & drink" Frühstück / Buffet. Ob das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, hängt natürlich davon ab, ob man genug Hunger mitbringt. Das muss jeder für sich selber entscheiden.Die Qualität ist auf dem Niveau eines 3-4 Stern-Hotels, d.h. bei der Auswahl an sich und bei Kaffee (Automat) & Getränken gibt es definitiv noch Steigerungspotential. Das was angeboten wird (inkl. diverser frisch zubereiteter Eier-Gerichte), ist durchaus in Ordnung. Wenn einen der Verkehr am Landstraßer Gürtel nicht stört, kann man auch gerne im Gastgarten (bei Sonne mit Sonnensegel als Schattenspender) sitzen.

Ich bin relativ oft im Daniel um zu arbeiten. Einmal saß ich 2 h am Vormittag an meinem Laptop im hinteren Bereich ohne dass nur einmal die Bedienung kam. Ich musste dann los und bin gegangen ohne etwas zu konsumieren. Ein anderes mal hatten wir mehre Getränke bestellt und irgendwann nach der Rechnung gefragt. Nach 30 Minuten haben wir erneut eine andere Kellnerin um die Rechnung gebeten. Ihre Kollegin hatte inzwischen schon Dienstschluss und unsere Rechnung war laut Computer schon abgerechnet... nur hatten wir nie gezahlt. Die Kellnerin meinte dann wir bräuchten jetzt nur noch die Hälfte zahlen. In wessen Tasche das gingt will ich dann auch nicht wissen... Generell muss man im Daniel immer...
