Au Rocher de Cancale

I was very happy to eat at this place. the waitress “Melanie” was a close one that she looked after us well. the courts were excellent. I recommend this place

we stumbled on this place by falling, but were not disappointed. do not expect from a fantastic designer environment, but do they with taking very good French foods that are brought to perfection over a few centuries. we had magen de canard excellent!

I’m glad I only took notice of recent, positive reviews and ate here. We had a fantastic evening delicious food and superb service, really fun! The waiter even came outside, without being asked, to take a photo for us as it was a special...birthday weekend. Thanks so much for a memorable meal, we wouldn’t hesitate to return

We stopped here to have a rest. Had the cheese and salami plate along with some house red wine. Everything was fabulous!! Hoghly recommender. Highly recommendedtastytastytasty. Service was nice. Fabulous people watching! We sat outside by the heaters and it was great even in October....The price was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

my friends and I were looking for a late night. we were turned off from several restaurants and we came over this. they were close shortly before, but then again their kitchen opened for us. we were the only ones in. the restaurant and they all stayed back to serve us and make sure we were fed. this made my visit to paris incredible and I recommend to all those who wish amazing food and service!

I must immediately recommend the lamb at Au Rocher de Cancale... It might take a while to get it though. The restaurant was extremely busy when we went and it seemed they were having a slight logistic issue with the servers (we waited almost an...hour before our planchet came out)... however, the choices of good wine and the quality of the food made up some points. They have floors, so before you walk away, ask if they have room. The upstairs is stunning with protected wall art.

Ordered the Fruit de Mer platter for one. Oysters were empty (see pic), mussels tiny and whelks were missing. When we pointed that out to the big guy who appears the run the place, he shrugged his shoulders and bought one of the staff over....It was explained to us that they were all out of the composite pieces. About ten minutes later a local had one delivered. It was glorious. We agreed to pay half and left. In a street full of outstanding places to eat, there’s no need to give your money to these guys.

After a long search we finally found a restaurant with a decent menu, this place. It was very cozy and crowded. It was a little understaffed in my opinion but the service was still okay. They forgot some things but after we asked for a...second time it came immediately. I’ve ordered the oysters and scallop risotto and they were both wonderful. Fresh oysters and a really tasty (and filling! risotto. The prosecco I had was nice. My friend and I were very happy we’ve found this place because after searching for a suitable restaurant for it really paid off!

A week ago today, we walked up and down Rue Montorgueil looking for a place to have our date night and settled on Au Rocher de Cancale, because it had some very nice looking seafood dishes on the menu. Glad we did, because we were...treated to an exceptional dinner. The service was extremely welcoming, great, in fact, all throughout our dinner there. We obviously were tourists, but were very well taken care of by the staff. I chose the risotto with scallops, which was terrific, one of the best seafood dishes I've ever eaten.
