Bistrot Restaurant Du Nord au Sud

The restaurant seems to have changed hands a dozen times over the years, however the moules-frites have always been fabulous, and continue to be the best for miles!

Brilliant service, great food, attentive staff, good portions I ate there 6 times and had most of the menu. Everything was top class. I challenge you to find better

Avoid like plague. Service practically non-existant, food mediocre at best & when we were there, the evening finished with an almighty row between the waitresses & some lads & (Ithink) the mother of one of serving staff.

Went here for dinner. Ate inside as it was hot and guests smoking outside. I had steak, others had mussels, fish. All very very good and they adjusted the menu to our specific allergies and needs. The restaurant was totally full, again, lucky to get a table.

Six of us had a delightful canal side lunch here, with helpful service and huge portions. Moules frites were given top marks, as were entrecôte steak, duck breast, excellent salads, pizza and house wine. Desserts of ice cream and pan a cotta were also very good.

Limited menu and average food more of a Café than restaurant but charging as if a restaurant. Red wine served cold and steak not tender, vongole a bit of a creamy mess with little flavour unless you like lots of creamy sauce. Staff efficient and polite but no warmth, found myself missing Italy!

Here for lunch on Easter Monday and they had an excellent "Menu de Paques"The Moules were fabulous, the steak tender and juicy and my Demi Licorne topped the lot.With aperitifs, the meal and wine only coming to €49.00 for the two of us, this place give good value.And the locale next to the marina is nice.

We were visiting some friends that live in the small town of Beaucaire and they took us to this restaurant. I ordered the rib-eye steak medium cooked as we call it in English I don't recall exactly how it's called in French. The meat was very tender and well prepared. Living in Texas we are carnivores and I have to say it was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The sides which were mashed potatoes and vegetables were very good also. My wife had a pasta dish which was excellent also. The waitress and overall environment was very nice and friendly. Overall it was very good!

What a great find this place was. We were loooking for a late lunch and came across Beaucaire. It's a historical little town with a canal running through the middle of it with lots of boats and is less touristy than some of its better known neighbours. There were plenty of restaurants serving, but Du Nord Au Sud had a really good vibe.We were made immediately welcome and offered a delicious choice of food on the menu. Mussels are their speciality so one of us chose these with frites, while the other had an Ocean Salad. Both were outstanding, cooked and made fresh.
