in the heart of town, typical osteria with the typical service. Nice terrace. We had good pasta: al ragù and a carbonara. Nice winelist. Go inside and admire all the different floors, decorated in various colours.

Ambiente elegante e ben arredato, buon servizio, ma i piatti non sono all'altezza della sala, non sono curati, sembrano improvvisati. Un tonno alla piemontese con solo 3 capperi, ho chiesto l'aggiunta di altri, ma mi hanno detto che erano finiti. Esperienza da non ripetere.

Abbiamo voluto pranzare e prima di farlo lavarci le mani. La porta del bagno non si chiudeva. Non c'erano né acqua né sapone. Le scale di marmo bianco che portavano al secondo piano per i bagni avevano bisogno di una buona pulizia. Gli spaghetti alle vongole erano eccellenti. Visualizza piatti

Caffè tradizionale italiano di alta classe, posizione fantastica, ideale per osservare il mondo (provinciale) passare, e dolci e gelato sono fantastici. Dovrebbero davvero lavorare sul servizio, anche se caotico, poco attento, a volte brusco, con camerieri che litigano e un cassiere che fa la faccia lunga. E decisamente costoso.

Stopped here for coffee and a small salad. Incredibly disorganised waiting staff numerous times they brought the wrong thing to our table and were surprised when we said it wasn’t for us. The one thing we were waiting for a plate of cheese and meat we asked for four or five times and they didn’t bring it. Eventually gave up and left. Coffee came quickly but was very poor quality.

Il Modern Coffee si trova nel centro di Monza, luogo storico che ha un certo fascino ovviamente entrando si capisce che alcuni posti sono pagati! Mi sono trovato molto bene, il mio green pass è stato visto correttamente, ho pranzato con un ottimo risotto alla milanese e l'ossobuco, un buon bicchiere di prosecco e per finire una degustazione dei loro dolci. La cosa migliore di questo ristorante è stato il servizio incredibile che abbiamo ricevuto, il cameriere (vorrei conoscere il suo nome) era attento ma non invadente, era lì quando avevi bisogno di lui. Quando siamo entrati nel ristorante (eravamo seduti fuori) per dare un'occhiata ai dolci, è venuto ad offrirci una descrizione di ciò che era disponibile, il che è stato un grande tocco. Il cibo era molto gustoso e a prezzi ragionevoli. La carbonara era eccellente.

Be careful when you order, they will bring you something else. Ordered from the menu Spaghetti Pomodorini (cherry tomatoes) and they brought regular spaghetti with tomato sauce. When complained waiter with a bad attitude took the plate brought it back in and added few cherry tomatoes. A disgrace and not representative of what Italian service should be about. Also noticed waiter picking up dirty glasses from the table with his fingers in the glass, not even the class to use a tray. Indeed beautiful location however awful service. Avoid it!

Walked back from Italian Grand Prix through centre of Monza on way to train back to Milan. A long walk so we stopped here for a coffee and saw others having meals so we decided to eat here as well. The waiter Daniel couldn’t have been more accommodating, setting the table we were sat at for dinner with tablecloths, cutlery and napkins. Upon his recommendation we had spaghetti with clams and it was delicious. We then rounded the meal off with some small pastries. The atmosphere around and in the restaurant was very convivial and set us up for the train back to Milan. We would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want something not to expensive.
