"I have to prevent this by establishing that I have a general dislike against buffet style servings, although that is not quite the case. We were pretty late and as a result some of the dishes looked pretty decimated. There was still a wide selection of different styles and types of food, but I am sure the composition of the menu has not changed in years. At least what I remember from my earlier times. The food was ok, but the lady who served the meat seemed very short tempered and nervous. This did not help the indecision of my American friend because he was not informed about the local foods. The other waiting staff was attentive, but too few to take care of the great crowd. The Heuriger is part of a much larger range of restaurants, hotel and functional and conference rooms and lacks the atmosphere of an intimate agriturismo. Too impersonal!"

Not my case, but that's a matter of taste. We also missed the friendliness and relaxation from yesterday's Friesach retreat. The food was ok, but nothing special. Maybe also because I'm not a fan of buffets. I tried it once and gave my opinion on it

This is the second time that I return to this restaurant during the Salzburg Festival. If the weather is good, the garden section is extremely attractive, and most of the males are local, which is always a good sign. An additional bonus is that the staff is both knowledgeable and extremely efficient.

Brathuhn und Leberkäse waren in Ordnung. Aber der Kartoffelsalat und die Kartoffel mit Gemüse waren ungenießbar. Das Gebäck war sehr gut. Die Luft war nicht gut. Die Bedienung nett. Nur zahlten wir für 2 kleine Bier, eine Limonade, 2/8 Wein, zwei halbe Brathühner und ein Stück Leberkäs, einmal Topfenknödel , eine Kugel Eis über 70 Euro! Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
