limited selection of appetizers but overall rich menue, somewhat on the pricey side. service rather slow and appeared under stress, our waiter must have dropped items during the minutes we were there. food was good but overall experience relative to the prices more.. average

Wir waren insgesamt 12 Personen an einem Donnerstag Abend im Bären. Das essen kam trotz alle dem zügig und Zeitgleich an den Tisch. Die Bedienungen waren aufmerksam. Das essen hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt, wir hatten eine bunte Mischung der Speisekarte bestellt und alles war wirklich sehr gut. Nach diesem gelungen Abend war klar, wir kommen wieder.

they knew that bruchsal europa's largest market place for spargel (white spargel?) is a couple. the baeren is the place to come at least once a year at the beginning of the asparagus season (probably ende april). it serves the finest German food to very moderate trips in a family and family atmosphere. in bruchsal it is probably the best restaurant, and we are in recent years dozens of paints here. it was always very good.

we starved on Saturday afternoon. this is often not good in Germany. this time our luck could not have been better. the gasthof to bear was open and serves an interesting menu with a good selection of wild game. there was a word on the menu I didn't recognize. it was the local dialect for rabbits. A bunch of bikers in dire need of a light lunch, we spotted the garden seating area as we entered Bruchsal and took a punt. Great decision. None of us wanted a big meal though if we had we'd certainly been well-accommodated, but we...opted for conmbinations of soups and starters and ended up as full as we needed to be. Schon bei der telefonischen Reservierung machte das Personal einen professionellen Eindruck. Ich wurde gefragt ob es einen besonderen Anlass für das Essen gäbe und ob wir bei Sonne draußen sitzen möchten. Sehr zuvorkommend.Der gute Eindruck setzte sich dann vor Ort fort. Wir bekamen einen Platz im Biergarten und das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Etwas merkwürdig fand ich zwar, dass wir im Laufe unseres Essen vier verschieden Servicekräfte am Tisch hatten. Finally something completely different in the Karlsruhe-Bruchsal region and imagine, as a food supplement there are almost no french fries!!! No, let me write honestly. I was really surprised that you won`t get to each course from the menu a french fries, what a nice...and welcomed change to every other restaraunt here in this region.
