"Since first discovering the Nana restaurant I must have visited it at least a dozen times. Everyone i have taken there have found the food, atmosphere and friendly service simply outstanding. On my last visit with the family nothing was too much trouble. It had been raining that evening so we were a bit damp, we had a baby in her pram and our large hovawart dog was with us. But never mind - we were still found a cosy place to enjoy our evening meal. And my family are somewhat "pickey" so when it came to decide what to eat they wanted changes to the published description of the dishes in the menu. No problem... Everything is possible. My favourite remains the extra spicy coconut "Canh Chua" soup always with 2 (not 1 or 3) large prawns. They make it for me extra spicy which always brings me out in a light sweat. For the main course I tend to go for the Bo Cary with perfumed rice. This red, coconut based Thai curry can be prepared with either beef, chicken or crispy duck. The latter is particularly delicious but difficult to finish. In the meantime we have got quite chatty with the owners who kindly gave me hints on which places to visit when I go to Ho Chi Minh City later in the month. All in all we love the fact that we are always warmly welcomed here and that we can rely of really good, consistent and authentic Vietnamese and thai food. Lovely!"

"after the catastrophe last time when we tried to book a table here, this time I made a reservation on the line and followed with a phone call to confirm that they had received our booking and that they would be open in the night in the question differently than last time! we parked hapharzardly in the small parking lot in the small farm and looked for our reserved table. we were a family group on 7 with three generations. the place was full and made a fleeting trade. the larger than the life owner? we sat on a table for 6, which was unfortunately a bit squeaky. then he returned and rushed to take our drink orders in a rather overwhelming, penetrating way. the ladies asked for a sweet red wine and our host immediately took the bottle that already placed on the table, opened it and began to serve. we could not see the price until the bill came at the end of the evening. at least we were very satisfied with the quality of the food. we all shared a large plate of Mediterranean tapas as a combined starter and I followed with a delicious plate of calf liver. the others also enjoyed their various main courses. to dessert we enjoyed something on the house to be honest, I forget what it was. I started drinking with white beer and followed with a glass primitivo. our host came back to various locations to check how we did it. some of our party were very irritated with its extrovertive dominance and wished that we had served by one of the numerous waitresses in the background. all in all we enjoyed our evening despite the above mentioned dinge. the last was the bill that came to an impressive 280€. wow!"

"On the main road of Wiesdorf no cars have been driving for a long time, it is predominantly a pedestrian zone or traffic calmed. At first, many shops come when you get from the bus station, but then always closer to the Rhine banks, many gastronomy businesses are also connected. Ambience From the street the restaurant looks inconspicuous. Inside there are a number of places. First you see the counter and continue through the pizza oven. Cleanliness Everything worked well maintained. Sanitation Not quite level – a small step must be observed twice. The room is relatively narrow. Service The two forces (a man and a woman were friendly. The map(s) There was a lunch menu of two courses with a selection of three options. The day offers were on a table. A map contained the usual Italian classics and a pizza department. The tasting food bread, paste and oil The slices were not fresh but baked; Therefore, the pastry was a bit cheerful and hard. The coating was relatively neutral in taste. However, the oil tasted quite neatly for bread. Daily menu of vegetable dishes and pizza (9,90 € The lunch offer was recommended for us. Some vegetables as an appetizer along with bread fits very well (yet better: if the bread comes fresh from the oven. The floor was crispy and the covering was lush. It was not saved with salami, mushrooms and spinach. Therefore, a pizza here would always be a good choice. This also makes you curious about the pasta offers. Antipasto Fellini (12,00 €) Vitello tonnato, Carpaccio, Caprese, Pilze, Aubergine, Zucchini and Paprika were dressed on this mixed plate. So all classics are available. The Vitello was tidy and processed all ingredients Beef was slightly marinated and decorated with rocket and parmesan. The vegetables were juicy and fresh. Saltimboccca (18,50 € The veal was perhaps a bit too long in the pan and therefore slightly tough, but still neat in taste. Sage and ham were still attached to the meat with wooden sticks. The sauce was assembled from frying fond, butter and wine. So that was very classically prepared according to the recipe. In addition, potatoes and vegetables were on the plate. The vegetables were excellent in the Gargrad (Möhr, Fenchel, Blumenkohl, Broccoli). for often these supplements are overboiled and are then soft or pulverulent. That's how it happened to the potatoes. I didn't realize if they had been cooked or tanned. The little ast rosemary might let the conclusion that they had been fried. But now they were more of a puree in their mouth, even though they had the shape of discs on the outside. Beverages San Pellegrino (5,80 € was value for money Lunch seems to me cheap, the other prices are still fine. Conclusion 3 – if it results. (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it turns out again, 4 – happy again, 5 – absolutely again – after “Kuechenreise” Date of visit: 18.08.2018 – midday – 2 people [here link]"

"At the beginning of August the Yamas Greek restaurant opened in Alkenrath and since then it was important to visit us. We finally made it. We booked a Sunday afternoon for a table for 5 adults and a two-year-old little girl. Our table was in a corner in the back room. The decoration is not especially with just a few old black and white photos of couples in an apparent Greek environment. But we were not here for the decorations that we wanted genuine, authentic Greek cuisine and we did. First we have a round of drinks. The ladies were happy that a sweet Greek red wine in Carafes was on offer 7.00 euros for half a liter, which is great. The guys went for Kölsch Früh beer and stench to help to quench the early thirst. The menu is full of Greek delicacies. For beginners, I went to Ochtapodi Scaras Oktopus something I had not had outside Greece. Simple, but delicious. My fellow dunes tucked into various Goodies Kolokithakia (rugged zucchini), Dolmadakia (suffed wine leaves) and loads and loads of tzatziki with delicious roasted bread. In fact, the bread itself was a big hit we had basket full at the table all night. For the main course I could not decide between the Sikoti (Rindleber with onions and mushrooms), the lambs bone with wide beans or Kalamarakia. In the end I stayed with seafood some excellent slightly deep roasted baby squids. They were exquisite. The rest of our party had various delicacies of Gyros Tiganaki, Choriatiki (typical Greek salad with feta cheese) and an obvious part of Gyros and chips (which was huge). Halfway through the meal I changed from Kölsch to the excellent, drinkable house red wine. Very recommended. Not all of us could finish our meals so we asked for several dog bags. It wasn't a problem. When the restaurant thinned, we went for a dessert and 6 spoons. The chocolate base was a fitting end to an excellent evening. During the meal I noticed a number of references to the city of Drama in northern Greece. In conversation with the friendly owners and employees we discovered that they come from this part of the country. They were very friendly and patient when we fought with the remains of their Greek language, which we picked up when we lived there 15 years ago. So everything in all Yamas is a wonderful place to visit when you enjoy authentic Greek cuisine. My only recommendation to the owners would be more than just cash in the near future. Do not accept any form of payments with cards is really not on this day and age."
