"our new favorite restaurant in duisburg. we, two couples, have spent a perfect evening in house roasting. after the very friendly greeting of the waiter, the reserved table was assigned to us. although the restaurant was very full, we were served quite quickly. we ate steaks and a grill plate. to the excellent steaks, which were cooked as ordered, we had delicious dip ́s and each one an salat of salatbuffet. the great offer of different dressings and oils you do not see frequently. to dessert two of us had a strawberry laser. great, fresh strawberries and cream in between. the waiter asked appropriately often after drinking-adjustment without being intrusive. the ambiente sets up the clones. I decided for the hunter carving with pommes, as an appetizer there were fresh champignons filled with crabs and garlic sauce. the appetizer was generously dimensioned and really tasty, correspondingly was the joy of the main dish. "Wir waren als Paar an einem Sonntagabend hier. Den Tisch hatten wir vorbestellt. Hier stimmt alles Ambiente, Qualität und Service. Empfehlen kann ich auf jeden Fall Erde und Meer, Rumpsteak und Garnelen in Weißweinsoße. Es war Großartig. Da die Beilage ein Salat ist habe ich persönlich Fritten dazu bestellt und einen milden Weißwein. Die Fritten waren lang, dünn und auf den Punkt gebräunt. Der Weißwein, eine Empfehlung des Kellners, passte hervorragend zum Essen. Auch die Vorspeise, gebackener Camembert, war auf den Punkt. Für ein Dessert gibt es eine eigene Karte. Das Himbeertiramisu ist zwar dekonstruiert und sehr süß aber ebenfalls empfehlenswert. Ich habe zugegeben die Johannisbeeren, die mein Mann als Beilage zum Palatschinken hatte, dazu gegeben. Das hat die Süße reguliert. Meinem Mann gefiel es übrigens genauso wie es serviert wurde. Daher kein Kriterium sondern wohl Geschmackssache. Rundherum war es ein sehr gelungener Abend mit großartigem Essen und nettem, lustigen Personal. Klare Empfehlung in Duisburg!"

Der Fahrer wusste nichts von der bereits erheblich verspäteten Bestellung. Zu allem Überfluss war der Teig beider Pizzen absolut versalzen. Unter anderen Umständen hätten wir die Bestellung bereits nach einer erheblichen Wartezeit storniert, aber der Hunger treibt es rein. Wie oben schon erwähnt gab es kein entgegen kommen und keine Entschuldigung. Wer gerne lange Wartet und sich selbst erkundigt nach bestellter Ware, und gerne salzige Pizza mag, findet hier sicherlich den richtigen Partner"

Die Auswahl an verschiedenen Leckereien war sehr großzügig, und lecker war ebenfalls alles. Mir hatten es besonders das wunderbare, selbstgebackene Brot und die Antipasti angetan. "We stopped off in Duisburg for a late snack lunch on our way back from a week's Easter break in the Netherlands. It was a beautifully warm sunny Friday afternoon and we simply ran into this oasis just a few miles off the main...autobahn south and close to the zoo.We installed ourselves in the extensive beer garden. My thirst was quenched with a superb German draught pils beer. After a week of bottled Dutch beer this was a godsend... I accompanied this with a salad of rocket, cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinegar just sufficient to tide me over until the BBQ planned at home that evening. The rest of the family also enjoyed their varied drinks and snacks. Service was excellent the waitress was helpful, friendly and prompt in bringing our orders. She even spontaneously brought a large bowl of water for Aska, our Hovawart dog such attention to detail is always much appreciated."
