fantastic staff! the room was great. I think we're going to be above average for this kind of abandonment. the bathroom was also beautiful. the food below was also excellent. well in my budget.

I stumbled across The Black Horse while walking along the Beeches Way and decided to stop for a refreshing pint while I waited for the Carousel bus to Gerrards Cross Station. The service was excellent—definitely a 5 out of 5!

Our server, Lois, was outstanding. Great location, within easy reach of Pinewood studios. Next time we visit we will pre-book the very romantic and cosy looking outdoor pods with outside heating, fairy lights and table service. What more could anyone want?

A great stay in a lovely little pub. Although checking out was a little bit awkward because there is no one on sight early in the morning. Rooms: The rooms are plush to say the least, very clean and well furnished. Food drinks: The food was absolutely lovely, great wine selection but not a great selection on draught. I highly advise against visiting this restaurant. The food was terrible, and the service was appalling; they even served us the wrong dishes and drinks. To make matters worse, the manager was extremely rude and displayed unprofessional behavior towards my entire family. This experience ruined what was supposed to be a celebratory meal. I wanted to make coffee in the room using the advertised Nespresso machine, but there were no coffee pods available. When we inquired about breakfast, we were told we could purchase it from the connected building. We ordered two toast with scrambled eggs, which arrived cold, one Eggs Benedict (with the smallest muffin I've ever seen, cold chopped eggs, and cold cut ham), and one sausage and egg baguette, which only arrived after we asked about it and came with undercooked eggs! Additionally, my son and his partner (who were on their first stay together) experienced a billing issue. He paid for the booking, but then his best man was charged again when checking in!
