I love this place, it's always so cooled. the menu is interesting and eating is always really delicious. the staff is very friendly and relaxed. it feels like a real home from home. highly recommended.

Held my birthday celebration here on Saturday and it was fantastic! Staff were so lovely and helpful even suggesting they would cook for us whilst the kitchen would technically usually be shut. serendipity led us here when we arrived a week in london, where we stayed in a local air bnb. it was a cold dark night, nothing open, and then we believed in nirvana. the most delicious menu. fab beer and wine. friendly owner and employee. we have always returned. coffee rival melbourne also. the best with the venture of foodies from melbourne.

I admit that I originally did not want to visit the hackney pearl, I was actually looking for a toilet! However, this bar restaurant turned out to be such a hidden gem that I would recommend to keep a zider (orchards pig, my first attempt and would highly recommend) and a baked. While I didn't try the lunch menu, it looked fantastic and smells like eating that came into the tables around me. there are seating in the indoor and outdoor areas and the service was excellent. I believed in a beautiful sunny day on the hackney pearl, so sitting outside was a must.

This place is generating a lot of buzz, and it's easy to see why. The Hackney Pearl is a hidden gem, tucked away behind factory buildings near Hackney Wick station. The restaurant is a large, open space with an open kitchen and outdoor seating. Despite the chilly weather, the food is worth braving the cold for. We have dined here twice in the last few weeks and the squid salad with stracci pasta strips is a standout dish. The Hackney Pearl is more than just a cafe or bar - their seasonal menu offers fresh fish, steak, and plenty of vegetarian options. Stop by for coffee, homemade cakes, and much more. During my exploration of Hackney Wick last year with some friends, we stumbled upon this charming little spot called Before Dae. We stopped in for snacks and cocktails, but couldn't resist the temptation of their delicious looking cakes. However, we opted for heartier options instead. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, perfect for catching up with friends over drinks. We tried a few dishes, with the hummus and cauliflower standing out as favorites. The cocktails were all unique and had a twist to them - my personal favorite was the one with thyme. Whenever I'm in Hackney, I make sure to visit Before Dae again. I'm thrilled to have discovered this gem of a place!

There's very much a cafe vibe to the place. Lots of benches for outside seating, mismatched furniture and bare walls inside, an open kitchen and tables that you imagine were salvaged from somewhere hugely in need of an overhaul. But it's charming. And welcoming. And open all day and night, so whether you're in for a lunchtime coffee or in the late night long haul like us, it's a great find. I had heard great things about The Hackney Pearl, but I was extremely disappointed. I went for lunch with my partner, but unfortunately the menu resembled more of a gastro pub than a café. It was good if you were in the mood for bass or steak, but we were looking for something lighter. My partner ordered a salad (which wasn't on the starter menu, but was on my own list) and I had a bruschetta. The bruschetta was delicious and a decent size, but the salad was very small. We also ordered bread to fill up a bit. We decided to have dessert and once again, the portions were tiny. The chocolate ice cream cake was only about half the size of a normal slice.
