"Would NOT recommend. Got the be the rudest staff I’ve ever came across, especially the so called ‘managers’. Their excuse for being power hungry is that they are enforcing covid rules when they’re not they are just stroking their ego, me and my friends got kicked out after 1 round of drinks and food as they claimed they thought we had ‘had enough’ STILL waiting for a refund from the second round I ordered and did not receive. After reading all the other reviews it’s good to see it’s not just us and people clearly hold the same opinion, If your trying to have a good night with friends please do not go here as the miserable staff will totally ruin your night. Will never ever return."

In my opinion, this is the best Wetherspoons on the northern side of the United Kingdom.

Good atmosphere, staff were very friendly. Food is well priced, and nice to boot. Very easy to order through the app! Definitely recommend.

It’s got to be the coldest bar in Newcastle, to uncomfortable to sit in when you’re just out for quiet drink, won’t be going back there again, sick of complaining.

The beer garden is spacious and ideal for warm weather. The staff were wonderful, serving us with smiles and sharing a few laughs when I ordered more pitchers than I could handle. The food was hot and delicious, and we didn't have to wait long for it to arrive. Visualizza piatti

Went for breakfast this morning and quickly left. Overheard the manager saying they had no cutlery... on a morning... which only means a very quick wash through a minging dish washer. What did it for me was the grumpy member of staff who wiped a table with a filthy rag and didn’t squirt one bit of sanitiser on it. Won’t be returning.

The managers here are power hungry bully's, they throw out and stop serving young lasses and lads for no good reason but never say a thing to the grown adults that can argue and defend themselves against them. Not to mention the food is always thrown together and always cold. I think people only go because it's cheap, far better pubs in Whickham

A friendly and welcoming pub with all the features you’d expect from a Wetherspoon. The beer is reasonably priced, and there's a good selection available (though no Fosters). During my visit, the weather was a bit unpredictable, so I initially sat outside in a sheltered area that appears to have been set up during the COVID-19 pandemic and has remained since. The restrooms were clean as well. Overall, you're in Whickham! Visualizza piatti

Nice Wetherspoons with varied seating, they have managed to retain quite a bit of the original architecture of the building and it is a great addition to Whickham. Car park is rather small so expect a walk if driving here, also beware the bays with signs at the premises next door, a lot of people have been stung with fines from a private parking company. If you do get a cramped space in the car park make sure you get a parking ticket from behind the bar when you get there.

there are posh wetherspoons and there are not so posh wetherspoons. this is a fantastic Wetherspoons.its massiw and from the main square in whickham so they can't miss it. I had some pints while I was on a lift home..while there I was served by a dame with a nice smile over them. eating that came out of the kitchen looked very nicely plentiful. there are many beer sales to choose and it warns that packed. I have managed to take a few photos, but did not want to draw attention to my own..i managed to get the loo and wow, what a wanking loo, even got a kamin .marks outta 10 I give it a 13/10 yes I will certainly go again.

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
