Great service. Tables ready. Food was lovely. We always go august bank holidays. Shame there was no swede available. We will back in the next school holidays as we live in London.

Good service, staff were very polite. There was quite a queue for the carvery but it soon moved along. Good choice of vegetables and potatoes. Yorkshire puddings were a bit disappointing.

The staff at the toby in clacton are amazing today we were served by Andrew and he gave excellent ser ice very cheerful and friendly. Not much of choice for vegans, but the food we had was good

buchtisch. kellnerin very welcoming. but it was very disappointed that they only make the caries. what they see on the karvery servedabelle is the full menu. the display image demonstration shows a platelet salat that beats salat is offered. but no, just what you see, what I lacked in kind choices. cartoffels were dried, baked/boiled. good if you want a huge yorkshire pudding to fill your teller! waitress said they dropped the menu, it's just what they can see. so it is dried kartoffels, a veg. huge yorkshire pud.

Booked table. Waitress very welcoming. However, was very disappointed that they only do the carvery. What you see on carvery serving table is full menu. The advert picture demonstration shows a plate of lettuce which suggests salad is offered. But no, only got what you see, which to me was lacking in vegetable choices. Potatoes were dried up looked burnt/overcooked. Lack of vegetable choice. Good if you want a huge Yorkshire pudding to fill your plate! Waitress said they had dropped the menu, it is only what you see is what you can get. So it’s dried up potato’s, a veg……. huge Yorkshire pud.

Got to the fork parked up went in yes I was an hour early for my booking and still served us and let me and my partner eat the food was really good except the roast potatoes very disappointing one of mine I couldn't even get the knife to cut it it was that hard this is not good when we came it we should of been told that we should of booked our car in as we thought the car park was owned buy toby but it is not and the waitress told us we now have to wait for the parking ticket then phone the fork and then will have it cancelled so please don't try to keep the roasties hot for so long this is what has made them hard and don't cook so many off in one go then they won't be wasted

The staff were so polite friendly and welcoming, the service from them was great, they are prompt with drinks and always available for service even though it was a busy day. We had the carvery which was lovely. I’ve always rated this toby as the best I’ve had. We visit clacton from London quite a few times in the warm weather and I always try to make sure I eat a roast at this Toby before I return home. It’s a nice large size restaurant inside and right near the sea, if you have dogs you can eat outside if it’s warm I have done so before, so great views if you want to eat outside also. The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere, toilets could be a little updated. But all in all in my...
