"a little more pricier than most pub grub but also better than the majority of pub foods. a very nice friendly pub, ideal for a beautiful family meal. our meals lasted longer than I am used to, but not worthy complaining, and my mother always told me that this could be a good thing, as they make their food fresh, not warm up something. I'm very looking forward to a return visit."

October 2021. Visited again, I had chicken Kiev which was delicious. This time service was also great. August 2021. Food was great, but service slow.

Had a lovely meal. Lamb melted in your mouth. Very comfortable with friendly staff. Inside is bigger and a lot nicer than it looks from outside. Would definitely return if around there again.

We are here twice last month and both meals were the best we had in years. Food, but not the cheapest is worth every penny. After said, there are value options, and she looked amazing. We couldn't recommend this place anymore.

Undoubtedly, the best pub food you can have! The chefs take something to another level. Brilliant service and dog friendly too. Make sure you don't miss the Cheesy chips, trust me! Will definitely return to check the Sunday dinners.

We’ve been here twice in the last month and both meals have been the best we’ve had in years. The food, though not the cheapest is worth every penny. Having said that there are value options, and they looked amazing. We couldn’t recommend this place any more.

A fantastic lunch at Traveller's rest. The quality of food is excellent, definitely a gastro pub. The beer is good and the staff very polite and helpful. The set menu is fantastic value for the standard of food. All in all a great place to eat or just dip for a drink or two

You get what you pay for here: exceptionally good food and fantastic, friendly service. Compared to other pubs it's slightly more expensive, however, the quality shines through. Although it's not an extensive menu, they take pub food to a new level. Best compliment I can pay is that I'll be going back and highly recommend it.
