"Arrived at hotel for my belated birthday spa massage night. Been to restaurant quite a few times so know what it’s like here. Lovely place and nice scenery. Only thing is the thermal suite and spa isn’t connected to the hotel and restaurant, which in cold or raining weather really isn’t good at all. It should have a covered corridor from the elements to here and back, especially in Scotland. So, when we got to the spa and thermal suite, prompt, professional and friendly service. Never received petit flour and waited a while for hot chocolate and coffee. Managed to get 1 person spending time in thermal suite between coffee and massage time. So the other was hot chocolate and massage but missed out on the thermal suite unfortunately. For me that did, I enjoyed the sauna and steam room, coupled by the spa. Wonderful area, glad it was between very busy groups of people. So got to enjoy that myself. Take plenty of water! The massage and friendly service were wonderful. Dinner that night was great and prompt. Had drinks at the couches before heading to the room. Room was nice. Coupled with the drinks issue though, the bed for my back and sleeping was horrendous. Could hardly sleep because of it. Was like acupuncture without permission. Totally needs overhauled the mattresses. It’s 2 single beds zipped together so isn’t great. The next day breakfast was great and prompt. Wonderful selection of food and juice coupled with hot food of choice. I’d recommend here. Wanted to do it all again on the Sunday. Will be back. Rooms: En suite room with updated decor Walkability: Get good walks around the complex alongside walking to the shops at a distance and can walk to Irvine beach. Food drinks: Hot, fresh and tasty. Noteworthy details: Views from room. Restaurant is stylish and beach themed."
