"While the name is not easy for an English speaker, I would recommend Het Stuivertje to others looking for a fine casual meal in Amsterdam. We chose it after carefully reading the various reviews what sold us was the reply to a no taste review. The manager replied that good or bad, the food certainly is tasty. The ambience includes wood tables an adequate distance apart, cloth napkins, no tablecloths, a view to the kitchen. Service was fine, the manager quite personable. One of the chefs brought out a plate, explaining what it was. We started with a fine white asparagus soup and a steamed artichoke, I had a small chicken or squab, perfectly done on a bed of varied tasty vegetables, my companion ravioli with a sauce that the chef explained. It too had nice vegetables tiny brussel sprouts, carrots included. We look forward to returning"
