"finally a good quality restaurant to austere. without trip advisor we would probably not be in. the window is a little disconcerting because very opaque. no visibility of the interior of the restaurant. Yet the interior decor is quite pleasant even if I would have added photophores on the tables. I took a very good tajine with semoule (which is rare.) reasonable prices. nice and thoughtful staff. But don't forget to put the air conditioning because it's important to be good! we'll come back to it"

"For several years now, I would no longer eat at Buffalo Grill because of the general mediocrity and the wait too long, I had even sent them an email, which was left unanswered. And then we figured out why not try again, our bad experiences all took place in the Paris region, where they are certainly overwhelmed, since now we live in the province, let's try that to worse! Well, I can say that in five years, nothing has changed: the staff is always as unfriendly, the wait always as long (in fact they put the pressure as soon as we arrive to order, but if we have the misfortune to take our time and think. There you are lost!), the surprise of the children is always forgotten, the welcome salad always as blurred, meats and desserts without great interest (what is that these pieces of meat they put in their chili?)... and to the bitters, the fridges must be broken: all our drinks, I say all of us were served not even fresh beers, the cocktails of the tea! Clearly, this time it's over, we'll never go."

"I had seen this place and Jean Pierre on TV: "No Reservations" with Anthony Bourdain. I made a note of it. But we had our boat here on a Monday, and a lot of restaurants are closed. The hours aren't posted on Tripadvisor, and the website took forever to load: when it did, it seemed to say it wasn't open on monday. But it IS open in Monday. We went to Mono Prix and bought a huge couteau a pain (bread knife). It didn't fit in our pockets, so I laid it on our table when we sat down for lunch. Jean Pierre walked by, saw the knife, and asked, "What is this?" I replied, "Pour la Maison". I thought I knew him from his face, but he looks VERY French. He picked up the knife and said to my husband, "Votre femme est dangereuxe." (Your wife is dangerous). Our meal was the plats du jour: poisson (lobster claw, white fish, salmon, scallops) and tartare de boeuf that came on baby lettuces with a side of perfectly prepared potatos(and I'm not big on potatos). I can't say enough about each. Presentation, quality, preparation, ingredients-22€ each. They brought three amuses bouches, all interesting and wonderful. Pitcher of Irancy rouge for 17.50€ and it was better than many bottles we've had on this trip. Dessert: trio of ice creams with MANY flavors from which to choose, and I had warm cherries (there had to be 40 or more) with vanilla ice cream. The whole bill was 61€. We were stuffed. The waiters and hostess were very nice. I called Jean Pierre over to say I recognized him from No Reservations. He brought out Anthony Bourdain's book and the book from Bourdain's friend who was Jean Pierre's sous chef who does pop up restaurants somewhere in the States. He was so humble and charming. He lives for that restaurant, and it shows. We just lucked into it. As he said, "Le monde est petit". Oui."

"Great welcome.....good advice on beers .....so excellent beers, thank you. Let's not forget the bit of humor that I really liked, from a waitress who gave me a fake 10%, in relation to those requested.....lol I obviously recommend it, I would happily return there."

"I just visited this cafe. My husband and I ordered two espressos. They were fine. Nothing special. I asked for the check. He simply told me, in French (which I speak a little), 2€. I gave him 5€. He said merci. Like I was all set and done with our interaction. Even if a tip was to be given, it certainly wouldn’t have been more than twice the total bill. I replied in French, you said 2€. He paused again as if to imply you can leave now. Eventually he got my change. I left. Just a heads up to at very least pay attention to them trying to take your money."

"it is rare that I start with the negative in my opinion but there I make a twist to the rule: let's start with the welcome. This one is quite special. I'm pretty cold. He doesn't leave me a very positive memory. I even had the impression of embarrassing.Côté rates: in my sense a little expensive to eat regularly. €14.50 in a buffet to which you must add the price of drinks (tarif per drink) and dessert or cheese (2.50€ in addition). I would like to apologise for the strictness of the use of organic and local a priori products. For the positive: side of principle and operation of the restaurant: a buffet with tastes, seasonings, hot dishes. a piece of furniture gathers everything you need (plate, dishes, filtered water). A choice of hot and cold dishes with seasonal products, cooked home. This is rare and appreciable. tasteful side, you discover things that you don't necessarily cook (other good point!). However, no refinement or presentation effort. The good family cast-iron cocoon is waiting for you. Moreover, to know what was in the coconuts without asking is impossible. No posters above the coconuts to indicate. a restaurant person gave us the information but I once again had this feeling of embarrassing. Another negative point: at the time of payment, we present a reduction guide. The manager asked my friend to pay for us 2 (she didn't have to bother to cut the note in half.) galery, I had to make a check to my friend. An original discovery but I don't know if I'll finally go back."

"A return trip to Auxerre on the way back to the north coast.Having walked to town and looked a lots of menus we opted for a place we'd walked past several times.Having an affinity to Bunnies we'd discounted it at first as the dish of the day was roasted Lapin. However a closer review of the menu led us to grab a table.Situated on the quayside rather than in the town centre it's a bit quieter and we were staying less than 500 metres away.A dozen nice fat juicy snails as an entree followed by a more than passable steak then a chocolate mouse to die for. Yummy.Service was nicely French, modest and friendly. This isn't a hustle and bustle restaurant or top end and stuffy. Just a jolly nice, reasonably priced place to have dinner. In a town with a Michelin starred restaurant places like this deserve to do well."
