"Vine recomendado por una clienta ... Cuando entré me teletransportó a Italia, un olor increíble. Pedí el carpaccio que lo recomiendo pedir con pan de ajo , posteriormente crespelle al forno ... Espectacular y para acabar una ternera gallega a la piedra, la pizza espectacular... Para mí el mejor restaurante de Ayamonte. "I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at La Ribera, and I must say, it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. While some of the food was okay, the service was appalling and overshadowed any positives. When our waitress took our order, I explicitly stated that I only wanted tapas-sized dishes and pointed out everything I wanted. Everything seemed fine until the tuna arrived—only to be a massive portion, far from the tapas-sized plates I ordered. At the end of the meal, I called the manager over to address this issue. Frustratingly, no one had come to check on our meal, despite there being three staff members for just ten customers. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, the manager caused a scene by summoning the waitress who took my order, seemingly expecting to argue about who was at fault. I found this behavior unacceptable. I refused to pay for a dish I did not order, and the manager's response was, “Why didn’t you tell me when I placed the food down?” I mean, what difference would that make once the fish is already cooked? You can't uncook it or magically revert it to a smaller size. Overall, the service was incredibly slow, and the customer service was shockingly poor. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I cannot recommend La Ribera based on this experience."

"The location is beautiful and very well maintained, with stunning view over the Guadiana River and the bridge between Spain and Portugal. The restaurant is nice, tables are large and well-spaced, it is possible to eat on the outside terrace, but that day was a little too windy. The menu is short but there is a choice for every taste. Service is perfect, smiling, and friendly, but also formal. Our expectation from a luxury hotel's restaurant was to have gourmet food, this was not exactly the case. The dishes I enjoyed the most are the potatoes and ham croquettes and the chocolate and salted caramel dessert, I only regret that the chocolate sauce was one of those ready-made toppings, I don't like the taste, next time I will ask the same without the topping. Altogether, I have been happy with the overall experience and will return to enjoy the place and the truly professional service."

"One of the pleasures of staying in a Parador is experiencing the local dishes and the ambience of the main restaurant. We were very disappointed. Having arrived early afternoon and enjoyed a beer and cheese roll for lunch we were looking forward to dinner. After a pre-prandial gin and tonic in the bar we were looking for the restaurant to open at 8.00pm. It didn't. Instead, tables set out in the bar were where you were expected for dinner. Then it got worse. The menu was very restricted; in fact a sort of bar menu. There was a set dinner for 27euros comprising a very limited choice of starters, main courses and desserts. After a starter of goat's and sheep cheese selection we both chose the local speciality; skate wings in a paprika sauce. The skate was tasteless and the paprika sauce was no more than a brown coloured sort of gravy. Totally tasteless. The desserts were better; fresh fruit and yoghurt and lemon sorbet but even the biscuits served were stale. This was the worst dinner we have ever experienced in a Parador; outrageous to be charged 27euros per head. One understands that it is out of season, overheads are high etc but if a Parador is open for service they must do better than this. We had stayed here because we had such good memories of an earlier stay; had we known what to expect we would have driven on to our destination in Portugal. A great shame because in all other respects this Parador is very good with an outstanding location (see separate report)"

"Esta noche, como muchas otras de los últimos 13 años, estábamos cenando cuando hemos indicado que nos faltaban unos criollos que habíamos pedido 20m antes. Era la segunda comanda que pedíamos, la primera volando todo a la vez, esta: nos traen los montaditos casi al momento y los criollos, se los ponen a una mesa de al lado que pidió detrás nuestra. No pasa nada, esto pasa en las mejores casas, pero lo que pasa a continuación no: Resulta que decimos que nos traigan la cuenta porque no llegan, y coge el dueño y nos viene con los criollos a explicarnos lo que tardan en hacerse, (que básicamente tardan lo mismo que siempre) y a continuación gritando a su equipo y delante del resto de mesas, suelta: “llevarles la cuenta y que se vayan” “estoy hasta los co___es de todo”. En fin, no hay mucho más que contar. Ustedes verán. Buenas noches."

"After visiting last September we were really looking forward to returning. We were not disappointed. It was less busy this lunchtime. The waiter doesn't write anything down but he's great . We ordered four media raciones which were brought out one at a time which was just right. All were very good, especially the chocos which we had for the first time. The wine was lovely and the prices were great. Can't wait to go back. Ayamonte is a lovely traditional Spanish town and it's great to spend a couple of hours wandering round."

"Buen ambiente, jarras de cerveza muy frías y riquísimas. Variedad en la comida, la ensalada entre dunas está muy rica. Lo frito y el arroz nada del otro mundo. No están preparados con el tema alérgenos, te dicen que preguntes a su personal, cuando lo haces no tienen ni idea, no saben del tema, no tienen carta de alérgenos... Un desastre en ese tema, por desgracia podrían mejorar mucho en ese aspecto, pero llevo años allí y no lo hacen. Los postres están muy ricos, sobre todo la tarta de queso, la cual recomiendan y es un acierto. El ambiente de trabajo entre ellos deja mucho que desear, por lo menos lo que percibimos los clientes. Camarer@s saturados, falta de respeto al camarero por parte de clientes y por parte del propietario, el propietario no sabe organizar ni gestionar aquello, siempre están gritando... Por lo menos, el trato hacia el cliente es bueno, lo malo es que ellos no reciben esa misma cordialidad. Un poco más de civismo y educación no haría daño, pues demasiado aguantan los pobres camareros y hacen todo lo que pueden, una sonrisa simplemente, valdría millones para ellos."
