"Lost a lot of faith with most of the Chinese take aways in the area. It seems that they seem to be lacking in taste and quality. However now that we have found the Heung Sing that faith may just have been restored. We ordered 2x chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork, fried rice and 2 portions of mini spring rolls. The cost was just a little over 20 quid. For this we got a good quality and a nice tasting meal. Will certainly be visiting Heung Sing again."

"We were heading home from Preston and looking for a good fish and chip shop in Blackburn, but unfortunately realized that all the ones we knew were closed. We stumbled upon Cherry Tree Chippy and were hesitant since it was a Chinese takeout, but decided to give it a try. We ordered steak pudding, chips, large mushy peas, and large gravy. The portion of chips was generous enough for two people. The food was delicious and hot, despite the distance from home. We were impressed and even took a menu to come back again. The staff was friendly and the service was quick."

"The restaurant was closed and had clearly been closed for a while. Unfortunately, this meant we couldn't have dinner there and had to settle for some pub food instead."

"The service at this restaurant was terrible. I made a reservation for a table on a Thursday night to celebrate my mother's birthday, but when we arrived, we were not greeted and had to wait for several minutes before someone finally asked if we wanted to wait in the bar area. We decided to wait at the bar, but no one attended to us as the bartender was busy serving other customers, even though the restaurant was not busy at all. I will not waste any more time writing about this place, but I will say that it is not worth the money and the experience was simply not good enough. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs."

"We used to visit this cafe every saturday morning week in and week out for breakfast or luch but since their refurbishment it has gone downhill dramatically. Never much choice of sandwiches, hardly ever have gluten free roll to go with the soup, the old catering staff that were lovely cheerfull and helpfull have dissapeared and been replaces by what i can only describe as moaning old dinner ladies. The coffee sed to be gorgeous now its so strong i can no longer drink it even when i ask for a weak one it is like tar. Fortunately costa coffee had opened up and sadly to say marks and sparks has lost lots of its customers from the cafe."

"My wife, a friend, and I went to see Elton John at Ewood Park on 10/06/2017. After enjoying a few drinks, we started feeling hungry and stumbled upon a café/bar with a great menu and affordable prices. The food was freshly cooked, so there was a bit of a wait due to a queue, but it was worth it. We ordered two bacon burgers and a side of delicious chips. It was the perfect fuel before Sir Elton's performance. The café/bar is located facing the ground and is definitely worth a visit. Thank you for the great service and for the free bin bag (although I lost it, sorry). Hopefully, you still have Jeff's coffee cup."
