"The menu had a decent variety, though it wasn’t particularly extensive and I was surprised not to see a specials menu. I chose the fish and chips with garden peas, while my friend ordered the chicken and leek pie after enjoying a starter of creamy garlic mushrooms. The portion sizes were impressive; the fish was one of the largest I've encountered in a pub or restaurant, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The chips were tasty, but a few were quite thick and slightly undercooked.
For dessert, I opted for the chocolate orange cheesecake. It was delicious, but given the price, I felt the portion could have been larger. Unfortunately, I can't say whether I would return, as it seems this establishment is set to close in 2023. Based on my experience, I doubt that the closure has anything to do with the food quality."
