"Out of the ordinary experience 1 week of all beauty between the takeaway sale, their panini and their waffles ... and especially the reception of the seller and his smile then the shop, their professionalism the two girls are two small beads, smiling and helpful the two boys, always welcoming and the word to laugh their products are local and qualities for successful holidays, I recommend this place"

"Restaurant récent, à la décoration (quoiqu'un peu surchargée à mon goût) originale et qui attire (musique et terrasse ensoleillée). Il est idéalement placé près de la piste de ski qui redescend aux Arcs 1600 (attention, lorsque l'enneigement est insuffisant, il faut déchausser et marcher un peu pour s'y rendre).Les plats proposés sont principalement des grillades (goutez la côte de sanglier qui est excellente). Service attentionné, serveuse souriante et au français impeccable (elle nous a dit venir de Londres), belle présentation des assiettes. On s'y sent bien et ce n'est pas évident de repartir skier après une telle hâte.Les prix sont un peu élevés mais sans excès et tout à fait corrects eu égard à la qualité des plats proposés et pour ce type d'établissements en moyenne altitude.Étape à recommander !"

"We dined at 2134 on the chalet staffs night off during our week in Les arc 2000 and for me it was one of the best meals, if not the best, of the week. The staff were so friendly and well informed, and were happy to chat about the wines with our wine-buff friend. We were there to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary, and everyone at 2134 really made it a special night. To eat, 2 of us had the Veal chop which was heaven, the other 2 had the fish, we they also said was excellent. Lots of other people were enjoying local specialties like Raclette and the local smoked meats. There menu is quite small, but what these guys, they do VERY well. Much better to do 6 things freshly & excellently than have a long menu when everything comes from a microwave! I wanted to go back later in the week to try the 1 kilo if beef to share but this sadly didn't happen. Highly recommend this. Especially for meat-lovers, and anyone who likes fine dining. The complimentary amuse bouche to start, was a creamy foam of soup, and the cake the guys made us for a special anniversary cake, was a kind of Snickers cake and it was quite delicious. The ambiance and decor is also nice, modern, very high ceilings so nice and airy. Our only negative comment is that it is not very well sigh posted, having booked on line, we had a job to actually find the place. Get some more signs out, guys!!! We would certainly visit again."

""Oh my goodness. What have we let ourselves in for?" We'd booked for the Wednesday mountain meal and arrived early to witness student apres in full swing (including a helicopter landing to remove one girl). Miraculously, on schedule at 18.30, the whole scene became more civilised. We were shown to our table in a round side restaurant and served a delicious meal - vin chaud, salad, raclette, cheese fondue, stone cooked meat. Later it was the diners dancing on the tables, after which it was an easy ski back down the mountain to 1800. Massive credit to the staff for making this evening work so well. Returned for coffee later in the week, and could never have guessed about the outrageous Wednesday evening ..."

"despite all attempts we were unable to get a table here for dinner as it is always fully booked. to me that is probably the best magnet when it comes to food if a restaurant is that popular then the food must be worth...eating. so we settled for a lunch instead and I must admit we were pleasantly surprised. We had the pleasure of dining (by choice) outdoors where the restaurant is located in one of the most stunning spots at The view is beyond description and sunsets here must not be missed. Our food choice was fairly basic as it was a lunch but we opted for the Marmite salad (which I was a little unhappy with because the bread had been toasted far too much and my teeth struggled to get to grips with it). We also had one of the duck salads and the melted cheese dip that is so popular in these areas. The cheese was superb and the quantity in just one portion was more than enough for of us to share and feel satisfied and all cheesed up. However again this was let down by the bread. I would have expected softer fresher bread whereas what I received was a little on the hard and dry side. Given that it is France I think the best bread (plus perhaps a selection of breads) is the least anyone could ask for. We also ordered the Marmite burger. Now this may sound like a boring choice and indeed I thought it would be but goodness me it was s superb piece of creativity. For those of you who hate marmite rest assured there is no marmite in anything here apart from the name of the restaurant. I suspect they chose the name because the place has a love it or hate' feel about it. The burger meat was without doubt excellent cuts (and trust me I have eaten burgers the length and breadth of USA and Canada and EU and this was a good burger. topped with a mashed potato fritter and some caramelized onions and caramelized fried tomato it came with fries and naked (no bun) so a protein feast (if you dont eat the fries). In the evenings the place is buzzing and frankly a madhouse. I would say for lunch it is perfect for any type of diner but evenings it has more of a social feel to it or perhaps a noisy corner could be found for a romantic couple wanting to enjoy a wonderful view of the mountains. I have given them stars for the following reasons: hard bread in the salad also not fresh a very scant and sad looking salad vert overpriced beer (although beer is overpriced everywhere at"

"We arrived early (6pm) without booking and were offered a table for two hours. It's a nice atmosphere, even if we were the only ones. The staff was attentive and it was fun to choose our steaks and their weight. My experience of Steak... in France it's always rougher than in England, so I ordered medium/well and it came as I like it. Usually I would rarely order medium in the Uk. One of our steaks was cooked blue as our request, but had a large amount of inedible sine running through them. We mentioned the waiter who, after laughing with us in very good English, when we suddenly arrived, did not seem to understand?!? This was disappointing for the price (over 300€ for 4 adults and a child without wine). In view of the fact that the steak was appreciated on weight, we had hoped that they could offer to correct it, instead we were offered the harmful sine in a tupperware to take home We would have gone back for another meal, but decided to do so after our request for a gesture was rejected. Too bad it would have been a real favorite for our vacation. This would have been a 5-star assessment if the situation had been better treated."

"We visit Bourg a few times a year to see our family and always have at least one meal in La Boite Chaude. You have an extensive menu with a variety of choices. At the beginning of the month we had the pier, it was one of the best we ever had! Three meats, four sauces (a reasonable amount of each in contrast to other places), salad, a huge bowl of chips and vegetables for the pier wheel as well. We went back to the day before our departure and had the faux-fillet that I squealed a few times as delicious! The owner is very pleasant and friendly as the other waitress. La Boite Chaude is also a great place to sit outside in a better weather."

"Visited here on an afternoon in Les Arcs skiing while staying in La Plagne. It's on the left just past the expensive restaurants as you ski into Arc 2000. It's small but very friendly and the burgers were awesome and well priced. If you don't want a large, formal sit down for lunch this is a great place! They also had Leffe on draft, so ideal for some lunch time rehydration, apres style! We would happily visit again."
