"This is a great restaurant in a lovely location by a lock. We were a 30 minute walk along the very beautiful canal from our gite. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and the food was very good.Although the menu was relatively small...it had good local dishes and good value set menus. The owner loves his job and his restaurant and mingles between tables whilst serving. It’s got lots of seating but it’s worth booking ahead. We went 3 times, once a Sunday lunchtime that was very busy, this was the end of June so high season I can see it being a must to book ahead. The staff however coped exceptionally well, and we did not have to wait any longer than normal to be served all our courses. The duck was cooked to perfection, the foie gras was excellent. Tasted even better with a complimentary glass of the Sauternes from the owner. Prices are very reasonable and all in all a very nice experience........ times 3."
