"I made a last-minute reservation for Sunday lunch and I was not disappointed. The Sunday menu offered an impressive selection of starters, mains, and roasts, which was great to see—unlike some places that only serve roast on Sundays. The food was outstanding, featuring a delightful array of roasted vegetables and sides, some of which were unlimited, like potatoes and cauliflower cheese. The staff were exceptional as well, being attentive without being intrusive. I highly recommend this restaurant!"

"We were taken for lunch at the Red Lion last Saturday by my wife's parents to say thank you for hosting them at Christmas as they had been several times before. On arrival, I was surprised by the lovely garden (it must be fantastic in the summer) and the tasteful décor. My starter of tuna carpaccio was delicious (albeit a little thicker than I'm used to) and others' prawns smelled fantastic (also very tasty apparently). However, my pork belly main was really disappointing as it contained only 3 mouthfuls of meat at most the rest was just fat. Obviously, it's not a lean cut but such a small amount of meat was unacceptable. My son's girlfriend had the same and hers looked to contain much more meat, so I may have just got the short stick. I was also surprised by the lack of side vegetables just a potion of mash potato mixed with black pudding and colcannon. I think it would have been better to these....and perhaps include some other vegetables on the plate. Everyone else enjoyed their meal and the service was very good (although it was very quiet for a Saturday lunchtime), so I must have been unlucky but I don't expect to need a full meal in the evening after what was a fairly expensive lunch."

"Great food, fantastic service. My friends and I made a reservation but couldn’t make it on time and the owner was kind enough to let us have our table. He explained in detail what we were about to order and made some changes (that we absolutely loved) to our orders. Shortly after we placed our order, the skies turned grey and it started to rain. They (the staff) let us sit inside while they prepared another table for us. The rain was quite unexpected and we had to leave our drinks outside (a mocha and some lattes) and they were kind enough to reheat them for us. 3/4 of us had never had Turkish food before and they were kind enough to explain to us what we were having. I will wholeheartedly recommend this place because of the food, but also because the owner treated us with so much kindness and we (my friends and I) had such a great time."
