"the perfrect country pub. the calf’s head in worston nr. clitheroe is the perfect country pub. a traditional inn, located in beautiful landscape at the foot of the pendle hill, combine a country house hotel, restaurant and pub on a website. the walled gardens are wonderful, with a stream flowing through them, complete with habitable escapes. they can eat in the pub, outside in the garden, or in the huge winter garden. there is a great selection of foods, and they take a pick-N-mix approach where they like any combination they like. there is something for everyone. Eating is great. there is unfortunately a disadvantage: the popularity of the place is also it undoing and they can find that they are full of a waiting snake to get a table. it is a popular place for high times. it can be better to ring forward and reserve if it is for a special occasion. highly recommended. open daily."
