"Stay for one night before the Eurotunnel on the following day. This is what I would call a land pub that is family friendly with great reason for children. The rooms are all new with very modern fittings and have proved to be comfortable. Moderate size rooms that are large enough for short stays. Good shower over a bathtub and not a problem, the bathtub is very small and I would prefer a walk-in shower. Had a dinner and breakfast, both were well cooked and good value. Service was a little slow, but not when it tasted as if everything was freshly cooked, so every waiting time is worth it. Overall a great place to stay, excellent value and highly recommended."

"Paper plates and plastic cutlery are an eco contradiction but that’s how you get your dinner presented. Surety wooden cutlery is more environmentally focused? Maybe they don’t do washing up and the environment doesn’t come in to it. The food is delicious and artisan but I found it an overkill with certain ingredients- a minor point. Would I revisit? Possibly not especially with the array of tip options presented when you pay with a card. Surely a tip box is more discreet. As I say it’s all a bit of a contradiction."

"Sixteen of us dined here for my father's birthday, as we have all eaten here separately in the past. This restaurant consistently impresses and, in my opinion, is the best restaurant in Dover. The service was courteous and prompt, with all of our meals delivered quickly and hot. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you for another lovely evening."

"3 of my friends ordered the same thing. Mixed meat grill. Presented nicely, but unfortunately that's where it all went wrong. We all had the same issue. I spoke out. I asked if the sausage was ment to be pink? Was assured it was. We...was not particularly happy. I cut into my lamb. It was raw. When I passed comment to the chef and owner, he came out and said it was fine, then to prove it he ate the sausage from my plate, and asked if I was qualified to eat' I kid you not the chef said and did this! I was a little perplexed by this show, as I had not seen that before..... he said it was pink because it was homemade. Pink pork? I am a little sceptical.....They then hurried us out of the door by presenting the bill a few minutes later. Not a particularly pleasant experience. I would be mindful if anyone dared to pass a negative comment to the chef, as he came across particularly aggressive, and was defended by the Soux chef, who actually cooked' it. I only put 1 star, as 0 is not an option...."

"I have seen the reviews and decided that I had a neeed to go, which was a challenge as it was just snowing and it was a 150 mile round trip. they come down at an inconvenient front in the mainly residential sea front. as they go into them, get the feeling of a quirky large living room. it has no air no pardon it is what it is. I heard the table next door say that they read something that the cook has no love to michelin inspectors, as he wants to strive for different goals. the menu for Sunday dinner is short, but I decided to stay at the a la carte with chalkboard specialties, as it seems crazy to get into a fish restaurant and have a roast! started with a plate of deep fried oysters with good scattering and deafness. main was a delicious dover sole with tile kartoffel and greens with hollandaise. dessert was a truly sensational lemon sufflé with sauce and lemon jelly ice cream that was delicious. one of the best I've ever eaten, also in two Michelin star facilities (Sorry Cook). the employees are very carefully copied, as well as it became more busy and treated events also the spontaneous unexpected break of a plate (without causal) toilets clean and well ordered. also in terrible wind and snow still full! a real test on the quality of the experience. was it worth a snow-covered 150 mile round trip? Oh, yeah!"

"I recently went to Cin Cin for their bottomless brunch with friends for the second time, and once again it did not disappoint. The food was incredible, the drinks kept flowing, and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing afternoon. I highly recommend stopping by for a visit. Price per person is £30-40, and I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5."

"This place has the best batter, the best banter and the best menu selection I’ve ever come across in a fish chip shop. It was so good, I went back twice during a weeks stay in Deal. The menu is modern (amazing Gluten Free...batter truly awesome), with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options all on offer. The portion sizes are more than generous and every single member of staff makes you feel welcome and at home. This is a neighbourhood corner stone that should truly be celebrated, and judging by the amount of local customers it seems to be! Do yourself a favour, if you’re in the area, make sure you visit and experience it for yourself. A true gem. An easy stars from me, The “Glutenated Glutenator”"

"Best food I've ever had in this part of the county (at reasonable prices). My friend and I had a sharing platter and every single item was delicious. The desserts were fab too, and well priced. The chef clearly knows her/his stuff. Great service. Lovely garden. After lunch one day, I recommended it to my parents for their wedding anniversary the following evening, and they had an equally lovely experience. I look forward to going back sometime to try out the gin and cocktail menus! I highly recommend this place it deserves to be busy all the time!"

"I've been living in Deal for a few years now, and this is my favorite restaurant for several reasons. First and foremost, the food is outstanding; the chef is incredibly talented. Secondly, the owners are the most delightful and accommodating hosts you could hope for—nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Lastly, the restaurant's layout is excellent; you have enough space between tables for privacy, yet it still maintains an intimate and authentic atmosphere. I absolutely love the Bangkok Pavilion."

"The food is amazing that I was in Turkey before and I tell you her food is still the best I ever had! The meeting is well marinated and the meat is so tender and juicy. The sauce is amazing! The waiter is also very nice, even the cook brings you with warm smiles. I will definitely visit again in the near future. Love it. Thanks for the great food."

"Had a meal for 15 booked here for a double 70th celebration on a Sunday. The staff were welcoming and attentive and even gave the birthday pair complementary Prosecco on their arrival which was a lovely added touch. The food came out seamlessly and still hot considering the size of the party. The food was delicious, beef cooked to perfection and everyone enjoyed their meal. Portion sizes were generous, even the children’s roast! Excellent value for money and would highly recommend for a country pub vibe with lovely food."

"The service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their food. We had asked for a window table because our party consisted of visitors to Deal and we were given one. Our guests had a lovely view of the sea and pier. Thank you for a very pleasant experience."

"On Saturday, my son and I enjoyed a very pleasant lunch... a chance for some time before he returned to the university.. After a very thorough Perusal of the menu, my son chose the surf and turf meal .. delicious steak with shrimp sadly had the restaurant from Calamari.. but substituted onion rings, and I had a beautiful salmon fillet, baked with garlic oil dressing. Emma, our waitress, was very knowledgeable and led our choice. ... get a Beefeater card. I had an email with 2 main meals for £12.... in fact... I am sure every customer on Saturday afternoon benefited from the same voucher....so our £35 meal was just £12!! Absolute bargains... Delicious, chic, guilty. Thank you Beefeater.xx"

"our first visit. great family dinner here tonight on a hot summer eve. very friendly staff. always doubtful when eating places with a big group, how often it comes wrong or cold, but here it was really nice to eat and all came together. the owner and the chef were really nice to adapt a pudding for a person who is celiac. in any case, they recommend a visit here, although I would continue to book. it's too busy."

"Just popped in for a drink on Sunday but the staff were so lovely that we thought we would chance it and have lunch. Really glad we did it was fabulous, hot and tasty(cauliflower cheese was to die for), well cooked vegetables, big portions of meat, lashings of gravy. Couldn’t fault it at all. Couple of great beers on tap and the wine was good. The bill was excellent as well! Very good value for money. Sandwich you are very lucky, this place is a hidden gem."

"The Mermaid’s Locker did not disappoint. Fantastic, unpretentious little restaurant in Sandwich. Warm and welcoming with a quirky decor. We went for a joint birthday dinner. The food was simply delicious and exceeded all our expectations. Extremely well presented, cooked to absolute perfection, and very reasonably priced. The Chef came out to chat with us and other customers at the end of the night. We would definitely recommend this place, our thanks and compliments to the Chef and staff. We will certainly visit again next time we are down this way."

"what a wonderful place! the environment is fabulous, the personal excellent; and of course eating was great! my man is from dover and we have been here for 42 years to visit family. we never knew it existed until we arrived in the morning at the loading exit next door. we always go to dinos if we just stay one night, so find cullins yard was a mega bonus! our friends came with us this time and were very impressed. we'll see them again. many thanks for a great evening."
"Had a brilliant Friday night here. Arrived 6:45 pm for a amazing meal from there Caribbean menu (soul kitchen) and ended up leaving at 12:30am! The young lady behind the bar lea was amazing! She basically served all night at a packed bar as the other team member took table orders and delivered the dishes from the kitchen. Live Music plays here Friday-Sunday plus karaoke on Thursday's. Average drink prices here for Deal. Great location and the biggest outside shared seating area in deal. Foods typical pub grub and there can be a bit of a wait for food as it can get very busy, especially on a Sunday as there's live music in the square right next to it that start 3pm every summer Sunday (weather permitting). Also theres live music inside on the evening and karaoke on a Saturday night. Not the cheapest drinks in deal but great for drinking in the sun on the seafront."

"Popped in to The Bohemian with the Mrs on an overnight stay in Deal. Despite the covid restrictions (which were well observed , you could tell this was a good bar well worth a regular visit. If it was local to me I would be there often. Nice quirky decor, very good choice of alcohol. Treated myself to a Chimay blue (9% . Good atmosphere, and helpful bar staff."
