"It was a quiet Tuesday night in the off-season, and our party of six arrived without a reservation. There were two occupied tables in the large, well-lit dining room, where we received a friendly welcome from Madame. While we browsed the carte we were served wee walnut bread buns, which were delicious. Most of us had the €31 three-course meal, though a couple had just the two-course €27 version. After we had ordered, we were brought an amuse-bouche of a sort of pumpkin soup, which even those (me) who are not mad on pumpkins (nor indeed soups) found very tasty.It was a good meal, good service though the room was on the bright side."
