"Me and my friend went to the topiary restaurant at klondyke June 28th. We went into the cafe on the side and where served by a lovely young man who was very catering respectful and helpful. Allan I think he said when I asked, we then went through to restaurant to sit, and as we where leaving he was then pulled to help 3 people behind the main bar, he gladly helped the woman who asked, we have seen this woman speak to him and other members of staff before she is rather disrespectful and speaks to them In a horrible demanding way . We are regulars at the coffee shop. We will hopefully be back shortly but until then I hope someone sees this and takes note. Thank you too all the klondyke servers"

"After looking forward to Christmas lunch for months and inviting 30+ members of family to what I understood was a well respected establishment I have left with a bad taste in my mouth (and that 's not from the inadequacy of the food on offer). Paying £65 for Christmas Dinner I would have expected a luxury experience but this sadly was not the case. On arrival we were hearded in to a crowding dining hall like farmed cattle. After sitting down at the table I was served a lentil soup that had been left sat in the kitchen since the beatles were in the charts! Cold is an understatement. Shortly after this initial debacle, several members of our party left before even enjoying the overcooked beef that was on offer after queuing for the buffet for 35 minutes. I did however decide to stay and sample the carvery but did find that said beef was tougher than a sudoko puzzle after 18 pints! The turkey was tasty however so must give marks for this. The vegetables were wattery and had a distinct lack of seasoning and the Yorkshire puddings were drier than a Saharan summer. The hall had a star performer from the classic children 's TV Programme The Singing Kettle which was clearly well organised but the decibel levels were astronomical! Screaming at my young son from 3ft away isn 't my idea of a Christmas to remember! There was also an elderly lady who had felt unwell and vomited outside the front door where the smokers were standing. I did see a member of staff notified of this incident so I had assumed that this unfortunate mess would have been swiftly cleared but after several hours I returned to the scene to find the solidified vomit remained. It reminded me of the beef. The wine on sale at the bar was watered down, the draught lager was underwhelming and the staff in the dining hall (no fault of their own and absolutely not a responsibility they should have to burden) were noticeably untrained. Not to mention the lack of direction from any members of management. In 31 years of dining out for Christmas lunch (Covid being the only exception) this was, by some distance, the worst meal experience to date. I now have to explain to my distant family members, who have travelled from as far as Montevideo in Uruguay, that this isn 't the experience I had in mind when I asked them to make the journey. Hopefully any guests unfortunate enough to have booked for next year already are treated to a far better experience. If you plan to make no improvements to the event, I 'd send them to a soup kitchen instead. P.S. here is a photo of the dust on my fingers when I ran my hand along the wall beside my table. The lack of care for what should be such a magical day is upsetting and I will be contacting the health board about the asbestos infused environment I was forced to consume my food in. Merry Christmas"

"It 's years since I was in café Torino I used to call it the smokers café. I popped in this morning shy off half ten I had a reasonably priced £5 breakfast, which melted in my mouth NO tough Lorne sausage NO frizzled up egg The main problem wasn 't with the food it was that it was served up on a 'stone cold plate ️ i don 't think that 's the right thing to do 'cos the heat from the hot food dissipates to the cold plate. The next time that I venture in I will ask if my plate can be heated up a bit hopefully the tattie scone isn 't all greasy, that one can ring it out, as has happened to me b4, but very rarely. So far, the staff appear very friendly, especially the very tall slim waitress with the 2 long tails if that 's what their still called. She even asked me if I wanted my capochino b4 my meal [or words to that effect] very good Back in again Tue 5/3/24 at around halve nine, to try out their FULL breakfast this time just to make sure, I asked for it to be put onto a hot plate ️ it came on a warm plate not on a cold plate which was fine, as u can all see my breakfast looked really nice. No frizzled up eggor a soggy, greasy tattie scone as usual the square lorn sausage wasn 't tough at all and the rest was all cooked spot on BUT this is the bit I don 't get. I know if you want to add an extra item to the breakfast it 's £1 SO instead of having to pay £1 extra i asked if i could change one of the 2 square sausage for one link sausage i was told it would cost me a £1 extra, all through my breakfast i couldn 't figure that one out, when it was just a straight swop. I 've never heard the likes of it But it won 't put me off from going back in again BUT I was told that if their that busy they may not have time to heat up your plate ️ if you like your T strong bring your own T bag."

"probably the worst place I've ever had for lunch. minute waiting for chips, cheese and curry sauce, cost and I hardly got a handful of chips and the curry sauce was a firm block of gels in the tub. not the first bad experience here. I'm not back."

"My wife and I make it a point to have a meal out at least once a month. Our previous experiences at this restaurant have been very good. We started with appetizers as usual, but when I ordered a medium rare filet steak, it came out well-done. I was disappointed to hear the staff try to convince me that it was cooked to the correct temperature. I shouldn't have to explain the difference between medium rare and well-done. Eventually, they replaced my steak with a medium rare one, but only after my wife had finished her meal."

"We had a lovely cream tea booked and decided to have sandwiches as well as my pregnant sister was very hungry, which were absolutely delicious! The cream tea was 2 scones each with butter, cream and jam which were also ridiculously delicious. In hindsight, we should have skipped the sandwiches ???? The 2 scones would have been enough! The coffee was soooo good and the tea was lovely too. The staff member that served us Glynis was outstanding. She was so warm, friendly, chatty and so super helpful. She kept us topped up with water having just came out the spa and kept our tea and coffee topped up too. Her chat was brilliant, she was so down to earth and so funny. An absolute superstar!"

"The stone-baked pizzas at this restaurant are incredible. They offer two vegan options and also have a simple margherita pizza. I tried the Santa Cruz, vegan pepperoni, caramelized onion, red onion, almond ricotta, and garlic oil pizzas. It was one of the best vegan pizzas I've ever had!"

"Ordered takeaway via phone, and was ready by time we picked up. Tried the pizza. My oh had meat pizza which was lovely. I had spicy chicken which was meant to have red onion on it. Unfortunately they put on large chunks of white onion which just didn't cut it. The chunks were too large, the texture was quite slimy in the pizza and it doesn't taste as good as red onion on pizza. Ended up having to pick it all off which was as shame as the pizza itself was good but i would be reluctant to have a pizza with onion on it now given this experience. Staff themselves were very nice."

"The website advertises a 2/3 course menu, and has done for some considerable time. A few weeks ago, we decided to visit for the firsttime, but on the phone we were told due to staff shortages, a much reduced menu of soup or sandwiches was all that was available. Two weeks afterwards a relative went in without booking only to find the lesser menu was on this time the excuse was shortage of food supplies. Eventually we made it in, only to find no evidence of the special lunch deal! The restaurant is bright and airy and the food they do provide is fine for what it is but don’t count on the special lunch menu. The full Falkirk FC team squad come in every day at 12.30 for lunch, a nice touch if you wanted to provide a treat for one of your childre."

"This takeaway is not worth any stars at all. When placing the order I was given a delivery time for an hour after ordering, At I phoned the shop to be told they were very busy and the rain was causing problems. I was assured our food would be with us in ten minutes. Half an hour later I phoned again and complained that our delivery was now an hour late. I was given the same excuse. They really couldn’t care less. At we finally got our food. Lukewarm and really not worth the wait. I would not recommend this takeaway even if it was the last one open. No customer service at all."

"my wife and I try to get a meal at least once a month, previous visits here were very good. starter were in order, but I ordered a medium rare filet steak for my head, got my steak, which was done well, mistakes happen, but try to tell me that the steak was medium rare was just frustrating, I should not explain the difference, so replaced my steak with a medium rare, although after my wife had finished her meal."

"The service at this restaurant was awful. Our order was forgotten and arrived late, after we had already been waiting for an hour. When we called to inquire about our order, we were told that they had not even started preparing it. The staff member we spoke to was rude and unhelpful, offering no assistance or solution to the problem."

"Pre ordered food at 5pm for delivery at between 1845 and 1915. They cancel order at 1915, too late to order elsewhere. Terrible service."
