"We visited as a family of four with our 8 year old and four year old and as a walk in at 8pm we had no issues getting a table. The location of the restaurant is a bit tricky to find, it’s on the first floor of a small shopping centre overlooking the main road and the smallest play park in the world but it was definitely with the search. Our waiter was brilliant in terms of service but also with the kids. Our eight year old took a liking to the little spicy nuts that they give out as you sit at the table and the waiter just kept them coming (for free) whilst acknowledging how much our son was enjoying them. My wife and I both had pizzas and they were honestly lovely, up there with some of the best pizzas I have ever had). Our eldest had fish and chips (battered fish) which he loved and our four year old had the spaghetti bolognese. Our four year old had a wobble as it had Parmesan cheese on it (in the typical way four year olds do) but I can confirm from eating a good chunk of it myself that it was lovely. Even then seeing this the waiter then tried to win him over with a bowl of nuts which displeased the four year old (again I an confirm they were good). The final winning play to win the grouchy four year old over by the waiter was presenting him with a bowl of gummy bears! Well played sir! You are the Tenerife equivalent of Mary Poppins in your child taming skills! If was lovely as the waiter just picked up on this himself and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Whilst on holiday it’s very rare that we visit the same restaurant twice but this will definitely get a follow up. There isn’t a single negative. Everything was brilliant including the price with it being great value for money."

"Slow Boat 5 is nicely situated on the seafront, on a corner just behind a kids' play park. They advertise as Asian cuisine but it's basically Chinese with some Thai dishes. The prices looked decent and the place looked very nice so we gave it a go. There was a nice view out of the window along the seafront and also a good few highchairs available. After being seated there was a bit of a longer wait than normal for the drinks to arrive. There was a pretty decent array of dishes available. Our standard method is to get a few dishes, stick them in the middle and have a bit of each. We ordered crispy shredded chilli beef, beef in chilli sauce, chicken in satay sauce, sweet and sour chicken and a chicken chow mein also ordering a chicken fried rice from the kids menu. Noticing the good size of the rice portions, we went for two boiled rice between the other four of us. Another family came in and were seated by the one waitress on her own. It took a bit of time to get her attention to get more drinks as three of us had emptied our glasses. To be fair, she had taken a couple of phone calls as well but just seemed to be away a lot of the time. We eventually got some prawn crackers on the house with a sweet and sour dip which my daughters swiftly took care of. There was still a fair wait for the main courses to arrive but when they did, they were worth it! We'd heard the woks sizzling away and were itching to be fed. Firstly, the kids meal arrived a few minutes before. This was good because it meant getting some grub down our one year old before the rest of us tucked in. The kids chicken fried rice was really enough to feed an adult and it was lovely too... well, it's not as if a one-year old was gonna finish it! The portions were all decent. Not overly huge but definitely enough for everyone. All of the dishes were very, very tasty indeed. I've had a lot of Chinese meals in my time (my wife would say too many) but not had many better than this. We all ate our fill but there was still some left, despite me taking it as a personal challenge to clear every plate. The plates were cleared away fairly promptly after finishing but unfortunately, I didn't request the bill at this moment. It was a while before a guy appeared at the bar and I asked him for the bill. I had to ask him for it again five minutes later. After that the waitress popped round with the liqueur bottle! The meal in all came to around €70. I'd happily go back there again, maybe with some roller skates for the staff!"
