"Last week we could finally inaugurate the great beer garden, which despite the location (not on the sea;)- could really convince, especially the massive wooden furniture did it to us. eating was as always top, especially the steak with crimped butter and the Ricotta spinat maul bags. new there is a "Afterwork-Aperitif/Cockailcard" with a really great selection to super praise. our favorites were lillet marie and waldhimbeer (mojito with celestial),? visual and tasteful top. we are coming back soon:-)"

"Very tasty offer of various selected steak varieties of different categories. Steaks are prepared directly on open fire and served very professionally and with a lot of effort with a custom ambience. Also tastefully it was excellent. If you had anything to criticize at all, it would be the service. In this price category it should actually fit into detail (drink before eating,.... ..we are still happy to come back....Thank you for the culinary evening."

"Ich gehe in das Lokal immer, wenn ich in Friedrichshafen bin. Letztes Mal war ich aber doch etwas enttäuscht. Es war Freitag Abend um ca. 19 Uhr. Das Lokal war noch fast leer, weil nahezu alles reserviert war. Da ich allerdings alleine war, fragte ich vorsichtig bei der Bedienung an, ob vielleicht ein Platz noch für mich da wäre, auch gerne an der Theke. Zu meiner Freude habe ich dann einen ganzen Tisch gezeigt. Der Keller hat die Karte gegeben und stand ca. zwei Minuten später schon wieder bei mir und wollte die Bestellung aufnehmen. Ich bestellte Züricher Geschnetzeltes und einen Beilagensalat als Vorspeise. Es hat wiederum nur einen Moment gedauert (1-2 Minuten), dann stand der Salat auf dem Tisch. Ich konnte vielleicht davon die Hälfte essen, dann kam auch schon die Hauptspeise. Den ersten Gang samt bereitgestelltem Brot wollte man gleich zweimal abräumen, ohne mich überhaupt zu fragen. Einmal von der Chefin persönlich. Das fand ich schon sehr unprofessionell. Ich habe natürlich heftigst widersprochen, weil ich nach meinem Hauptgang fertig essen wollte. Essensqualität: Das Geschnetzelte war - wie gewohnt - hervorragend. Der Beilagensalat war hingegen eine Enttäuschung - und das lag nicht nur an der Tatsache, dass man mir keine Zeit zum Genießen gegeben hat. Geschmacklose Joghurtpampe als Dressing! Bei einem Restaurant dieser Preisklasse wäre eine Dressingauswahl zu erwarten. Nicht jedoch anscheinend bei Tiffany. Ich werde mir das nächste Mal einfach Essig und Öl reichen lassen. Dann mache ich meinen Salat selbst an. Fazit: Aufgrund der Erfahrung kann ich das Tiffany's zur Hauptessenszeit nicht empfehlen. Es wurde mir einfach keine Zeit gelassen, die Speisen zu genießen. Wer entspannt und gut im Hafen essen möchte, der sollte bis zur späten Stunde warten. Das Tiffany's hat bis um zwei Uhr morgens auf und ist daher der perfekte Ort für ein Mitternachtsschmaus."

"Tolles Essen mit gemütlichem Ambiente. Unfassbar freundlicher Service, der nicht aufdringlich aber aufmerksam ist. Die Präsentation der Speisen war sehr ansprechend. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war super! Wir waren während der Messe hier und haben vorab einen Tisch reserviert. "Of all the doner( sandwich) kebab we ate this was the tastiest. Very very generous portions and one of the owners patiently explained the food. I would suggest always getting a chicken doner as opposed to the eggplant with meat that looked it stayed in...the tray too long . Bustling place with locals and tourists alike. We parked there on a rainy evening, ate our meal and the owner let us leave our car as we strolled along the Lake Constance"

"whether pizza pasta or meat. here really is everything. in this small but fine restaurant there is really only good eating. we are here to eat regularly. the chef is really very nice and knows how he has to deal with his guests! "Thus restaurant looks good from the outside, and looks good when you walk in. The menu is in Italian and English, no German. The pizzas were ok, does not give you as described, bacon and dried bacon is really ham. No atmosphere, would not go...back. Price is fair for OK pizzas"

"I really enjoyed our visit here. My husband and I decided to buy our hosts coffee so we went to the till to order. The menu is on a big board behind the till which is easy to read. The coffees listed are fairly easy...to understand as well. The staff, although busy, were friendly and efficient. The coffee was tasty and hot, served in nice cups. I had the latte with caramel which came in a tall glass without a handle which was different to what I'm used to and I really liked it. There is outdoor and indoor seating and we enjoyed a nice afternoon break in the sunshine at the front of the cafe"

"We found the Hotel Gerbe restaurant by default. A train strike meant an extra days stay in the area. The restaurant was busy but we were seated immediately. The food was excellent from starter to dessert and the service was just as good. Great value...too with two starters, two mains, one dessert and three beers at euro. Definitely worth visiting you'll probably go back more than once"

"my favorite place for lunch. they make an excellent lunch menu for about 10 euro. this place is 5 stars in look. the menu in the evening is very good and very reasonable for the price they pay. they will hardly find anywhere in Britain eating in this standard in perfect environment to the trips they demand. typical German, everything to the smallest detail. they do not deprive them for drinks like British restaurants. 3 euro for a beer 5 to 6 euro for a 250 million glass wine. if they like beer, try the crystal white beer with a lemon slice. slightly crisp and dry, ideal on a hot summer day. this is also a highly recommended hotel"

"Had an impromptu lunch on day trip to Friedrichshaven. Chose this place as it looked so nice inside and out. We chose to sit inside which still afforded lovely views of the Bodensee over the marina. I ordered the tomato creme soup and my wife...the asparagus creme soup. Both were delicious, for me the best tomato creme soup I have ever had. My daughter ordered the spatlzli with burnt onion rigs, we all tried it and all agreed that it was the best spatlese we have ever had Now that is saying something as my wife is Swiss so we know our spatzli. I followed up the soup with local white asparagus in a hollendaise sauce with steamed potatoes while the others had a garden salad. Again all were first rate. Forget the tourist traps, and try this place as brilliant food with a view and great service. Hope to get back some time soon. Thanks Restaurant Commodore for an excellent lunch."

"Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und daran gibt es gar nichts zu meckern! Wir hatten einige Gerichte von der Tageskarte und für die Kinder Spätzle mit Soße. Auch die Location an sich ist nett und punktet mit einem kleinen Spielplatz für Kinder. Leider lässt der Service der uns zugeordneten Mitarbeiterin (eine Dame mit schrägem einseitigem Zopf) sehr zu wünschen übrig, weshalb wir leider auch ohne Trinkgeld gingen. Weder ein Lächeln, noch der höfliche Smalltalk oder ein „Auf Wiedersehen“ brachte diese Dame über ihre Lippen. Wir fragen uns ob es an den 4 Kindern lag, welche sich jedoch anstandslos benommen haben da wir häufig essen gehen und sie sich daher auch in einem Restaurant zu verhalten wissen. Jedenfalls war die Bedienung seit der ersten Minute an sehr unterkühlt weshalb wir leider 2 Sterne abziehen müssen und auch eine Bewertung da lassen. Schade… denn solche Mitarbeiter vermiesen leider dem Koch das Geschäft und uns das Mittagessen! Muss nicht sein… es gibt genug Restaurants mit nettem Service in Friedrichshafen und Umgebung! Schade! Am Geschmack lag es nämlich wirklich nicht."

"This restaurant has just been taken over by a young couple. It is joined to the hotel and is great news if you are a guest. (see separate report on hotel). The pasta and pizzas are homemade and to say it is perfect, is no...lie. Sauces, steaks, everything is beautifully presented, and at such a reasonable price. The local beers and wines are very good too. The whole atmosphere is wonderful and we enjoyed it so much, we ate there every evening of our holiday days) instead of going into the town. The variety of dishes were such that we could not run out of choices. A stone's throw from the buses, airport, and town, this is one not to be missed. Outdoor eating too which was lovely for the August sunshine. A very worthwhile visit for anyone's money!"

"It is a hotel restaurant with multiple rooms (Stube) stylized for a traditional inn but not looking particularly authentic. The place has its reputation and you will not be totally disappointed but overall experience is average. Looks like the management cannot decide whether to offer...heartly German simple, local products based meals or sophisticated modernistic micro size courses. Local markets offer meat, venison, wildfowl, fish from the lake and apples. And there is a good selection of stews and grilled dishes based on them to choose. Still they are not all the way that way and if you want simple, abundant German dish you could get one more typical at the restaurant next to gas station. I had baked beef with onions. The quality was nice but it could taste much better if they did not add a whole truck of salt to it. Spaetzle with cheese were overcooked to the state of formless mass. For starter I had terrine, two small slices, could be just adequate for course dinner, not for a complete meal in German speaking country. Salad bar is rather basic. House wine is just acceptable. Water, they serve it in fancy bottles but they are refilled. The staff was quite attentive but far from perfect (forgot to bring drinks to some of us, had trouble remembering who ordered which dish at person table)"

"Fischerstuble offers delicious local cuisine (Schwaben). We enjoyed a variety of dishes among the four of us and sampled a variety of beer. The apple cherry (hard) cider is very tasty as well. The servers don't speak English very well, so we were fortunate to...have a German-speaking friend with us. The server was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this restaurant"

Die Preise sind etwas gehoben, beispielsweise zahlten wir für eine Bidenssefelche (Fisch) inkl. Beilagen 30€. Geschmacklich sind die Gerichte jedoch wirklich exzellent, weshalb wir diese Preise gerne für solche bekannten Speisen aus der Region zahlten. Neben Plätzen im Innenraum, kann man auf der Terrasse einen herrlichen Blick auf den Bodensee genießen. Sehr empfehlenswert!"

"this was one of our regular dinners when we exhibit in the friedrichshafen. also in this year we have a reservation. but cancelled yesterday for a little dinner and already from the beginning, where we neglected. two tables that they have only illuminated on the candle. one, give us the menu and left. I wonder if we like to order drinks or wine. we ordered food and we got our wine. Once the food came, one of our guests was forgotten without eating. unfortunately not only our table, it happens to a few more. enough is enough, she will dinge for all the others who went wrong. all in all we have canceled our great reservation tonight, not dare to take our customers here."
