"Fully pre-ordered table. Good restaurant at a reasonable price. The noodles are homemade and delicious, the appetizers are rich (and sometimes also with fish/seafood), the pizzas taste good. The service is friendly, the house wine (red) o.k, although relatively expensive. Kitchen utensils on the wall, some rustic ambience, really a restaurant where you can eat comfortably. Parking behind the house. Here comes a mixed audience, also many students. Compared to Zum Löwen in Gießen cheaper, with the same beautiful ambience, and at least equally good. Unfortunately only no terrace in summer."

"Pizzen ordered and picked up, unfortunately two of 3 pizzen were falsely occupied. Of course, this is annoying, because it is not necessarily controlled on site. Tastefully they were really good, though a little small. I can recommend the Pizza Pie, mistakes can happen and I have not been there for the first time."

"Prior to this we had an unpleasant experience at Bar Celona up the road, so entered Justus as it always looked pleasant from the outside.It has a nice warm, old school restaurant-pub style atmosphere and was busy. The staff immediately responded and said a comfortable table would be available shortly. We sat at the bar and since that was comfortable enough, stayed there.The German home cooked food was simply delicious--that was a nice surprise. I had a herring dish and my wife dumplings and we both enjoyed it very much. The portions were a decent size and I tried a Bavarian beer that I've not seen before. Also tried the homemade herbal liquor and that had to be tested a second round;) Very nice, I recommend that.Well done Justus, we will return with friends and family. Keep up with the friendly staff as this is always nice to experience."

"Kann auch an mir liegen,aber ich versteh den Hype nicht. Vielleicht liegt es an den wenigen alternativen in Gießen einen anständigen Burger zu essen. (Nicht so wie in Frankfurt) Habe 2 mal dort gegessen in größeren Zeitabständen. Beim ersten mal war mein Fleisch fast roh. (Ich wurde nicht gefragt wie ich mein Fleisch will) Ich habe quasi nur "drum rum" gegessen und die Mitte weggeworfen. Super war, dass die Bedienung gefragt hat woran es lag und sich dann dafür Entschuldigte nicht gefragt zu haben wie ich mein Fleisch will. Haben trotzdem den vollen Preis gezahlt...Naja wir hatten wieder lust auf Burger und dachten wir geben dem ganzen eine zweite Chance, weil wir nach Frankfurt fahren wollten.Was soll ich sagen, wieder halb rohes Fleisch. Der Käse hat ganz seltsam geschmeckt und die Pommes waren glaub ich nur die Reste die ganz unten lagen. Kleine dünne Endstücke.Wie gesagt es ist alles Geschmackssache, aber wir fahren wieder nach Frankfurt wenn wir einen Guten Burger essen wollen."

"A really nice little restaurant in the center of this charming city. We came from England on a busy Friday night, but the couple that runs this tapas bar with their mother found a table for us. There is really only one menu at a certain price, but you can choose from meat, fish/seafood and vegetarian options. Service is just right for a small facility: friendly and efficient."

"top in my eyes the best gyros you get in pouring and environment. the meats are still produced here and are always fresh. the gyros is not too high-fat and is always prepared nicely crispy but not burned. you are always kindly served and the waiting time is always in order. I can't give a review for others, but who is really good at gyros is right here."

"Zusammenfassung: Es gibt in Deutschland wenig Lokale, wo man gleichzeitig essen und Bundesliga sehen kann. In Gießen ist es noch schwieriger. In diesem Lokal ist es möglich, obwohl in der Küche gibt es Potential nach oben. Lokal: mitten in der Stadt, wo viele Stammgäste kommen. Modern und schön eingerichtet. Eines der wenigen Nichtraucherlokalen mit SKY in Gießen. Andere Anlässe wie Businessessen oder romantischen Abend würde ich auf Grund der Tischkonfiguration nicht empfehlen (Stammgastlokal). Service: schnell und aufmerksam, selbst wenn viel los. Bierauswahl (vom Fass): Veltins, Gravensteiner, Früh also gut. Weinauswahl: uninteressantKüche also das Wichtigste: habe Pizza probiert. Die schmeckt wie zu Hause gemacht aber ist auch gut. Von den 3 wichtigsten Zutaten der perfekten Pizza, perfekt war die Mozzarella-Käse, dagegen Sauce war nur gut und Pizzateig durchschnittlich (wahrscheinlich auf Grund des schwachen Offens was man merkt). Nicht desto trotzt hatte der Koch hier das Beste rausgekriegt und die Pizza war ok. Die Zutaten gut und frisch vor allem die Peperoniwurst gut. Preisleistungsverhältnis: Pizza kostet um die 7 EUR und Kleines Bier kostet um die 2,5 EUR also nicht schlecht. Wiederkommen/Empfehlungsfaktor (0-100%): 75%, definitiv komme ich hier die Bundesliga sehen und Pizza mit Bier dabei essen."

"The Poke Bowl (marked vegan on the menu) was really tasty and the portion was a good size. The base of it was rice, which was unfortunately undercooked. This bowl was almost 9€ if I'm not mistaken, which is not too bad considering how much food you get and the (seemingly) good quality ingredients used. Keep in mind that they also serve vegetarian dishes, what they call vegan with honey and dishes that have a vegan option. All of that is clearly labelled on the menu, which is nice. And while not everything is vegan, there're still quite a lot of vegan options to choose from."

"Ich war schon mehrere Male im "Schwätzer & Söhne" und dies spricht ggf. schon dafür, dass der Laden nicht all zu schlecht sein kann :-) Preise sind okay und er Service ist freundlich & flott.Der Kaffee schmeckt hier wirklich gut. Die Atmosphäre ist sowohl innen als auch im Außenbereich sehr angenehm gehalten und lädt zum verweilen ein.Den Kuchen habe ich bisher zwei mal probiert und es waren teils wirklich ausgefallene Varianten. Zuletzt hatte ich z.B. einen Blaubeer-Oreo-Keks-Schoko-irgendwas-Kuchen. Er sah so gut aus, dass der Sabber schon an der Glasfront auftraf ^^Zum Frühstücken war ich bisher nur 1x gewesen. Ich kann mich erinnern, dass ich es okay fand. Meine beiden Begleitpersonen waren jedoch begeistert. Auch Freunde von mir empfehlen das Frühstücks-Angebot. Eventuell habe ich nur andere Präferenzen oder Ansprüche.Insgesamt kann ich das Lokal guten Gewissens empfehlen!"

"The closed company on 27.08.2016 we were, the team of Brasserie has organised our dream wedding celebration. In best weather we could celebrate until the morning. The ambience of the brasserie with the large beer garden and the chic furniture were perfect for our party. The entire team was incredibly dedicated, from planning in advance, the decoration, food and service has tuned everything 100%. The service staff delivered the almost 120 guests at any time with drinks, a great performance at the hot temperatures, the food was super tasty, appealing and plentiful. "Schönes Ambiente. Leider waren die Speisen ziemlich enttäuschend und die Preis /Leistungsrelation nicht angemessen. Besonders schlecht war das Kalbsschnitzel. Unzureichende Fleischqualität, die mit einem Steaker behandelt wurde. Die Panade war so dick, dass sie im Ganzen abfiel. Für fast d 30, Euro eine Zumutung. Beim Duroc Kotelett waren die Kartoffel verbrannt und schwammen in einem Haufen Fett. Auch die Frische und das Dressing des Salat hatten erhebliches Ausbaupotential nach oben. Insgesamt eine riesige Enttäuschung."

"Local with super location and with an extensive and tasty menu that can also be financed. "We've been eating countless times. With friends or family. The food was always excellent. I find good value for money. I feel the ingredients as high quality. Recently, the restaurant has also delivered due to the pandemic situation. We ordered yesterday and the delivery was made. The broschetta were so packed that the bread was packed separately from the tomatoes. Ideal for nothing to be muddy. And as always incredibly delicious. I could eat there all the time"

The service was first class and the team from the Hammer restaurant. It was really fun to eat here and eat delicious. All in all, the Chai completes the food. 5 stars for an ingenious Turkish restaurant."

"Wollten nach einem stressigen Tag den Abend spontan mit einem Restaurantbesuch ausklingen lassen ... ohne Reservierung in Gießen an einem Samstag scheinbar nicht möglich!?Auf dem Heimweg kamen wir dann am Akropolis vorbei und da wir immer das Gutscheinbuch in der Tasche haben, dachten wir es sei einen Versuch wert und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht!Freundlicher Empfang und Bedienung die immer nach dem Rechten sah und sich erkundigte ob alles in Ordnung ist ohne zu nerven. Das Essen dauerte leider etwas (etwa 45 min) aber dank des wirklich guten Weins war das kein Problem. Die Portionen preislich angemessen, wobei das Rumpsteak eine gute Größe hatte, wie gemalt war und auf den Punkt! Auch ansonsten keine Beanstandungen. Es gab sogar den Absacker-Ouzo ;-)Das Gutscheinbuch wurde anstandslos akzeptiert, ohne dass der Service nachließ - insofern doch noch ein schöner Abend.Die Einrichtung ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Karten lamentiert, aber das Ambiente war in diesem Fall nebensächlich.Wer darauf Wert legt und vor dem Theater noch schnell was essen will, ist hier fehl am Platz. Für alle Anderen absolut zu empfehlen."

"I had my birthday breakfast there with my girls last weekend and we were all delighted! Great selection of breakfast menus, there was something for every taste and we regularly checked whether we still had enough bread, etc. at the table ... it was also no problem that we were still sitting with drinks hours after breakfast. In general it was very well attended and seems to be a popular destination and the city. We will be back"
