"We were there on Sunday and more like enthusiastic. An extremely balanced food preparation. Handmade noodles with absolutely fresh seafood have really impressed me. Rarely eaten in Germany so good Italian. If ever... Operation was extremely attentive, friendly and nice. "Well we decided to have Indian food on the way back home from Austria and we found this restaurant. We ordered for a couple of Indian curries and daal tadka. It really took me to surprise when I saw the daal tadka prepared with black...lentils and it was so spicy that we just couldn't enjoy the daal and the rest of the food was also not that commendable. The worst part was when my mother didn't want the ice cubes in her cola the steward took the spoon from my hand, removed the ice cubes and put it in the wine chiller next to our table. On a whole the dining experience was not what we were expecting and the service was not that great. The food was way too expensive compared to what we received. Not a very good impression of good Indian food and service on my German friends."

"Ich war kurz vor 14 Uhr imOsakaSushi ,erst überlegt ich evt.das All u can auszuprobieren,aber ich beoachtet erst mal die Teller auf dem Band -keine Makis-Einzelnes Ebi Nigri-2Insideouts auf einem anderen und dazwischen jede Menge Tempura,Frühlingsrollen und Sesambällchen,aufgrund der geringen Auswahl an Fischhaltigen Sushi,( allerdings räume ich ein,dass nicht weiß wie das Band ab Beginn des Mittagsangebots aussah) nachgelegt wurde eigentlich nur noch Tempura und Co.Ich bestelle von der Karte,grünen Tee und Misosuppe ,auf beides musste ich schon etwas warten,die Misosuppe war heiß und frisch und schmeckte richtig gut.Auch das Lachsmaki und die Spicy Salmon(Nr.62,sehr empfehlenswert),bei meiner Bestellung wollte ich auch Ikura Nigri und Jakobsmuscheln -Nigri ,die Bedienung kurz nach der Bestellung teilt mit,dass sie kein Lachskaviar haben.Als meine Bestellung einige Zeit später muss ich feststellen ,dass mir ohne mich darüber in Kenntnis zu setzen statt derJakobsmuscheln Nigris (Nr26) einfach Nr.25 dazugelegt hatte,ich weis die Servicekraft darauf hin, die mir wieder sagte das Jakobsmuscheln aus.Ich war recht enttäuscht dass sie mir dies nicht früher mitgeteilt hatte. Das Sushi war aber lecker und frisch Das Restaurant ist sauber. Fazit :leckeres frisches Sushi von der Karte,All u can eat ab früheren Nachmittag mit wenig Fischhaltigen Sushi ,wenig Vielfalt auf dem Band,freundlicher Service,Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis( bezogen auf das leckere Sushi von der Karte)Empfehlenswert!"

"Ich habe dieses Restaurant bisher nur als Lieferservice genutzt. Da ich mich regelmäßig mit einer Gruppe von Freunden treffe, haben wir an den entsprechenden Abenden bereits einige Lieferservices durchprobiert. Beim 'Vulkan' sind wir wohl endgültig hängengeblieben.Die Pizza ist top, dünner Boden, knusprig auf den Punkt, reichlich und lecker belegt. Aber noch viel besser sind die Burger! Wir haben einige Varianten getestet aber im Moment liegt der 'BamBamBigelow' (Barbecue Soße & Bacon) knapp vor dem 'Burger Meister' (Käse & Spiegelei). Fritten sind in Ordnung für einen Lieferservice, aber da kann man auf Grund des Transports auch nicht mehr erwarten. Die als 'kleine Speise' ausgewiesenen '3 Tacos' machen auch einen erwachsenen Mann satt und kommen mit reichlich leckerem Salat.Bestellung und Lieferung klappen top, man merkt das hier ein junges, aufmerksames Team am Werk ist! Ab 25€ Bestellwert gibt es eine Flasche Wein oder Softdrink zur Bestellung gratis!"

"Ostermontag noch spontan einen Platz zum Mittagessen zu finden, wenn auch nur für zwei Personen, ist nicht so einfach. Im Alt Giessen war dies möglich, leider ohne uns am Telefon zu sagen, dass es nur Buffet gibt. Dort angekommen wurden wir wirklich sehr freundlich und herzlich begrüßt und auch der Service war äußerst höflich und aufmerksam... Das Buffet war leider etwas enttäuschend. Die Auswahl war zwar in Ordnung, aber geschmacklich konnte es, außer die Vorspeisen die ich probiert habe, nicht überzeugen. Das Fleisch im Hirschgulasch war sehr trocken, das Gemüse mehr als 'al dente' und alles andere als warm und die Kartoffeln eindeutig zu lange im Ofen. Die Lammkeule allerdings war butterzart und hat gut geschmeckt. Ich kann es verstehen, dass man an solchen Tagen Buffet anbietet, es hat aber auch immer so ein bisschen was von Massenabfertigung....Alles in allem möchte ich noch einmal die sehr freundlichen Servicemitarbeiter/innen erwähnen und das schöne Ambiente im Brauhaus-Stil gefällt mir auch gut. Vielleicht komme ich mal wieder um das Essen à la Carte auszuprobieren."

"I had the sushi there, which was great. They offer a great variety and the ratio of fish to rice is very reasonable. While others save on fish, fish and rice are well balanced here. "cleanliness, friendliness and the room / equipment to be very satisfied! the breakfast selection is so, but maybe wg corona?! Nevertheless, the sausage/cheese plate could be more lovingly dressed and could not be over all camembert (I can't eat it and thus not the entire rest through the arrangement). can't you ask for a short time what you want and don't eat? I would have taken the rest only 2 dinge if necessary! a sweet and O juice would be nice, but the coffee was also good the rolls and the fresh obstsalat unbeatable! it would also be possible if the room was already paid online and they stayed several days to prepare the bill so it can be taken on the departure day and not by post at any place will save porto! otherwise, if I return in the opposite, I would like to book again and would like to pass these tips personally, but on tomorrow the service and the difference was not as perfect as the arrival!"

"we were there for a high time and it was wonderful. the event room was very nicely decorated and the ambiente was really elegant. the service was good and the wine was exelent. I can't eat milk, but the kitchen was so flexible and made a dressing and a dessert only for me. and even that was super delicious. the only thing that wasn't so good was the dishes. they have served circus photos with a really bad taste. but the longdrinks helped to forget that the night in our room was beautiful and the room is really big. we will be coming back"

"Prior to this we had an unpleasant experience at Bar Celona up the road, so entered Justus as it always looked pleasant from the outside.It has a nice warm, old school restaurant-pub style atmosphere and was busy. The staff immediately responded and said a comfortable table would be available shortly. We sat at the bar and since that was comfortable enough, stayed there.The German home cooked food was simply delicious--that was a nice surprise. I had a herring dish and my wife dumplings and we both enjoyed it very much. The portions were a decent size and I tried a Bavarian beer that I've not seen before. Also tried the homemade herbal liquor and that had to be tested a second round;) Very nice, I recommend that.Well done Justus, we will return with friends and family. Keep up with the friendly staff as this is always nice to experience."

"Even before Corona we loved going to the old ice house pancake house because everything is right: a very polite, attentive, but not intrusive service; Fresh, good-tasting food that is good value for money, with a balanced wine list and a cozy atmosphere. Now we wanted to support the restaurant with a visit during this time and are very enthusiastic even under these circumstances. Sure, outside by the river on the terrace the risk of infection is much lower than inside. At the same time, it is very nice to be right on the river and the well-considered one-way street concept prevents you from accidentally getting too close when entering and exiting. The operation is also pleasantly reserved and, reassuringly, always wears a mouth / nose protection. The ice house has proven itself even in difficult times"

"I'll visit Mr. Jones twice a year. It is located directly at the train station and has 2 levels, a Smoket Lounge and out in summer. The menu is more for an audience structure U 30 so a la Café del Sol . The dishes are fun and trendy, sometimes also something unorthodox name and good is 's. As far as Deco is concerned, the real commitment of operators, and Mr Jones, especially on weekends, is used as a venue. As foods are mainly Confenience products, I think prices are too high, as kitchen crews are not too creative. "I have always liked the Bootshaus for its views and that you can watch people punt and row on the river. I like the new looks too but I don't think the food has improved much. Starters were "hessische Tapas", with a "Greene Sosse" that was too runny, a fried sausage that only tasted salty and greasy, a "Spundekaes" cheese that was probably bought ready-made and a moderately good "Handkaes mit Musik" (if you like that type of strong cheese). The main was supposed to be a pork meat skewer (meat was nicely cooked) with a creamy mushroom sauce, but there was nothing resembling a creamy sauce. Instead a gravy that tasted suspiciously of glutamate (probably ready-made). The salad was mostly green leaves with a tiny bit of grated carrot and cabbage hidden somewhere underneath. Some dressing, which is always a bonus. My partners main had a very nice dark beer sauce that came with the meat (pork). The "Spaetzle" however that came with both dishes also looked very generic/ ready-made and were supposed to be buttery. Well, they had actually been in the pan way too long and were dried out. Possibly afterwards added a bit of butter, but that really couldn't hide the bad cooking in the first place. So, overall, I am underwhelmed, and if it wasn't for the nice terrace and view, I am not sure I would recommend the Bootshaus at all. Prices are ok, by the way."

"Wir waren früher schon sehr gerne im Diyar Sofrasi, nun das erste Mal wieder nach dem Umbau des Lokals und eigenem Umzug. Der neu gestaltete Gästebereich ist hell, bequem und freundlich, aber direkt an unserem Fenster zog es ein wenig. Die Speisekarte kam mir verkleinert vor, vielleicht irre ich mich hier auch. Sollte aber jeder was drauf finden. Wir entschieden uns für Adana und sis kebab. Beides sehr lecker zubereitet. Pommes und Reis als Beilage auch gut zubereitet. Portionen mit dem Salat machen gut satt. Das Lokal war eigentlich ganz gut besucht, trotzdem bekamen wir Essen und Getränke unglaublich schnell: Getränk 1-2 Minuten, Essen circa 10 Minuten. Preis am Ende für 2 große Ayran, 1 Tee, 2 Hauptgerichte bei circa 25 Euro, was angemessen war.Der Service war sehr schnell, leider nicht freundlich - auch nicht unfreundlich, aber man fühlte sich ein bisschen wie am Fließband. Parkplatz direkt daneben, zu Fuß von der Innenstadt aus unbequem, aber möglich. Beim nächsten Gießen-Besuch gehört Diyar Sofrasi wieder zu den in Frage kommenden Lokalen."

"The restaurant was packed when we arrived on a Saturday night. Interesting décor and a very buzzy atmosphere. Our mains, plus a shared starter and dessert were all quite enjoyable, no real complaints. The wine list was fairly extensive and browsed via an iPad, and...I was pleased to find a number of options served by the glass. Our bill, including a couple of glasses of wine came to around I have been to Giessen a number of times to visit family, and this ranks above most restaurants I have tried out, in terms of food and to a larger extent the wine selection plus the lively atmosphere. They have a bar area as well and a crowd had built up here by the time we finished our meal. Although the menus were not in English, the staff had some basic knowledge. Recommended"
