"I like it here, but I prefer her new sister restaurant in partick. this place will not take any reservations, so they have to try their luck if they get a table, and they never play K-Pop despite a Korean restaurant. who does in partick, and they take reservations. they also have two different types of pancakes on their vegan menu. Otherwise, if they are in the city center and looking for kitchen a bit different than burger and pizza, I would recommend checking this place. in portions are good."

"My wife and I had dinner here and the food was excellent. The portions are probably just enough if your going elsewhere afterwards like we were. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It was very busy so gives an idea how popular it is. We will definitely go back again as its also about three minutes from Central Station."

"Booked a table in the attic for dinner. We were promptly surrounded by half cut punters shouting and swearing who had been diverted up from the bar downstairs. This is unacceptable and disrespectful to customers who have come specially for dinner. It should either be...a restaurant space or a pub, not both. It didn 't get much better... I 'm bring generous to say the servers were poor at their job. The were disinterested to the point of being arrogant. Very much gave the impression of being students who had no interest in doing their job. Put down soup and dessert without noticing we had no spoons!! The table next to us had to repeatedly go to the bar to ask for missing cutlery too. After having to go to the sering station to ask for condiments we were given an empty salt shaker! Food was literally dumped down and slid along the table, canteen style. The mussels starter was the only good part of the meal but spoiled a bit by the fact the clueless servers didn 't bring a dish for used shells, meaning I couldn 't really get into the sauce beneath (leaving aside the fact they didn 't bring a spoon! and there was no hot water brought to clean my fingers. Fish and chips was passable but overpriced at £14. Worth a tenner at best. The 'mountain burger ' was an absolute joke. It looked like a kids meal from Wetherspoons; similar to the picture below by another reviewer. The burger and chips were straight from the frozen catering catalogue. The night was summed up by the horrible sight of the boss publicly dressing down one of the servers in the middle of the restaurant. He was almost face to face with her, puffing his feathers out and finger pointing. At one point a customer who was walking past to the toilet tried to intervene because it was getting so uncomfortable. He was responded to with : it 's OK, I 'm the owner. I don 't care how poorly somebody is at doing their job, nobody has the right to take liberties like that. The irony is that he was obviously pulling her up for something to do with the tables of drinkers as he clearly hadn 't noticed the standard of restaurant food and service. On that note; it 's not a good look for an owner to be boozing in his own establishment and rise to his feet to play the boss card just to look like a big shot."

"Have been to this restaurant on a couple of occasions previously and had really good food, this was the reason why I decided to book this place for my dads birthday. We were a family of 17 booked in for lunch and we all had a 3 course lunch with many of us ordering steak. I have to complement the chef as the steaks were cooked very well and we all enjoyed the food. The service was also good, particularly from one girl unfortunately I didn’t catch her name but she was very attentive throughout the meal and very helpful with all our requests. The reason why I have to give a one star for this restaurant was because of the supposed management policy on not allowing us to cut or eat the birthday cake we had bought in following our meal. The reason the manager gave for not allowing this was ridiculous and not something I have ever experienced in any restaurant. What made it even more frustrating was the fact that we weren’t made aware of this when we gave the birthday cake to staff when we first came into the restaurant. We weren’t allowed to eat our own birthday cake that we had bought in because of allergy issues and the restaurant won’t take responsibility if any issues arise. I had baked the cake myself and obviously know if my family have any allergies. The manager I spoke with was not very apologetic or helpful at all. Seemed like once they have your money they don’t care about customer service afterwards. We spent over £500 in this restaurant and what was suppose to be a special occasion was utterly ruined by this managers attitude. It’s such a shame as before this happened everyone was saying how much they enjoyed the food and how they’ll be back, but this has left a sour taste and none of us will be back or recommend this place to anyone else. Just a warning for others who may want to have a special occasion in this restaurant as they also hire out a private dining room you won’t be allowed to bring your own cake in to eat."

"After Italmania on Union Street shut down a few years ago I struggled to find an Italian in Glasgow that done a really good carbonara. The carbonara here is delicious. I would recommend the rose wine on the wine list, it's odd but worth it, I would also reccomend the garlic bread with cheese, the bread is more like pan bread and not the usual garlic baggette you get elsewhere. The staff are great, the food is amazing. I used to go here every Friday for lunch (before I bought a house and became permanently skint) and would always get half pizza half pasta with a friend which was always amazing. They also do a thing called Viva Gold, if you say this when booking and it's within the set timescales of the deal you can get between off the food bill depending on the day. Check their website for times before booking."

"Dining at Kama Sutra is always a delightful experience. The staff is highly trained, and the service is prompt. They consistently provide excellent food recommendations, and the service itself is flawless. Even though we live nearly 90 miles away, we make a point to come back regularly. "Called in here the other night when passing by and hungry. Sat down at a very flimsy table. Ordered what was stated on the menu as 'Haddock in Batter '. I know my fish and it certainly was not haddock and neither was it cod, or even whiting for that matter, obviously the cheapest fish at the market that day. To add insult to injury, the batter was soggy and ghastly. Never again."

"The true taste of Italy. I was pleasantly surprised by this charming little Italian restaurant. It was cozy and incredibly delightful. The team, especially Catarina, was fantastic hosts. Chef Arturo was so friendly and made my dish taste just like home in Italy. The Capri family truly creates a Mediterranean atmosphere. I requested my dish to be made in the Calabrese way and they delivered perfectly. Never order carbonara with cream, it's a crime. I absolutely love this restaurant and I can see why regulars keep coming back. I am now a new fan and can't wait to visit again soon! "I'm a 59-year-old man waiting for hustle and knee work, so I'm in constant pain, I had booked a table for 2 to 5 a.m. yesterday at 12 noon. I arrived 3 minutes before this time and found her door locked. I knocked on the door and even if I could see that workers in the door no one came on my third attempt to knock a man came to the door. I explained that I had booked a table, but was said that the restaurant did not open until 12.00 clock. I have to say I was totally amazed and disgusted at this attitude so told the man that I would eat somewhere else."

"I have a bowl of cullen skink, I liked it, except I find it too salty. the haggis scotch ei was also good, except the sauce that came with him did not work well or compliment the court at all. the sticky toffee pudding was beautiful. the restaurant had a good atmosphere, quite dark, and the waitresses were friendly and friendly. the food came out very quickly."

"Severely disappointed, food was extremely salty expected wings with a salt and pepper spice but was doused in salt. Almost inedible, chips we’re fine but steak was very chewy and far too many pepper corns. Good price on margaritas but seemed like it was batch made? "We went here on a deal night, which seems to be Sunday-Thursday. It seems a bit expensive otherwise. Deal is 2 courses for £16, 3 for £19 which is pretty good for what it is. Some of the meals also have £5 supplements which seem OK for what they are, but not great. For starter I had scallops and venison chorizo £5 supplement). Was pretty decent. The quality of ingredient is high. But it was pretty plain. For main I had ham, mash and kale. While all bits were brilliant, the meal missed a sauce to make it a complete meal. Again pretty plain. Pudding was great. Can't remember exactly what it was. But both puddings we had were great. I wouldn't massively recommend this place. But the food was nice enough. I wouldn't be happy paying full price though, deal was the only reason why it was worth going to. But even then I'm not sure I'd rush back again. Other places seem a lot better for the same price"

"Excellent place to sample a variety of elevated Scottish dishes. It is small dishes tapas style and we had dishes per person which was more than enough. The venison carpaccio and scallops were excellent. Each dish is very intricate and well presented which I appreciated. The roast potatoes come as a larger portion than expected so I would only order one for a group of The ambience and service was also good and the restaurant is in a nice location, calm and not too noisy and with a view into the kitchen so you can see the dishes being prepared. One of our party had dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating to prepare some of the dishes differently Loses one star because the desserts were simply not as interesting or presented as the main dishes which was slightly disappointing. Skip dessert and go for drinks or coffees instead."
