"Our experience, however, was limited to a family room featuring a large double bed and a single bed. Unfortunately, the housekeeping in rooms 104 and 305 was far from satisfactory. We’ve never written an unfavorable review before, but we felt compelled to share our experience this time. It was clear that the floors hadn’t been vacuumed in quite some time. The staff were extremely apologetic and offered to move us to another family room. However, the new room’s floor was equally unsatisfactory, though it was less visible in the dark than during the day. The floors in this room were also unvacuumed and covered in hair.
While the staff (excluding management) were very kind, we were disappointed. We have family in Gosport and were hopeful of finding a charming hotel to stay in for both this visit and future ones. We are focusing mainly on the floors, but there were also other housekeeping issues in the bathroom that need addressing, both for the benefit of future guests and for the overall upkeep and management of the hotel, ensuring it remains clean, tidy, and in working order no matter the season.
We only had breakfast during our stay, so we cannot comment on the food. Our ratings are as follows: Rooms: 2, Service: 5, Location: 5."
