"We pass there one day, taken by some local people who had heard of the place, and it was full and seemed to be positively full most times which seemed a good thing. It had a small menu, which sometimes can be also a positive thing. The setting was pretty and peaceful so we decided to give it a go another day. Before doing so, I did look at the comments and they were all very positive and particularly positive for people with celiac disease for which they seem to cater well. As I was taken someone who is a celiac, I thought this could be a new discovery for them. With this in mind and since we generally trust the wisdom of the crowds offered by reviews, we went there. What a disappointment this was!!! The food in Asturias is certainly amazing, sometimes totally stunning and generally quite cheap. The prices seemed step when we looked at the menu in detail but we thought we would give it a go with a positive mind since we were there and maybe it would all be worth it in the end. We ordered 3 dishes and frankly they went from edible but nothing special to pretty horrendous and almost inedible, this last category being taken by the lamb dish, one of the most expensive, which had a really horrid acid taste and a not particularly pretty appearance. Mostly we just ate bread which seemed to be abundant, much more so than whatever came with it. In Asturias you can eat stunningly in so many places. My advise: maybe have a drink here and observe the views but definitely give the food a miss. The most disappointing meal we have had here for many years and we paid a high price to be let down. Maybe Trip Advisor reviews are not as reliable as I thought, hence I wanted to address the balance and give our own view to avoid other people walking out as disappointed as we did. To eat so badly here takes some effort and we seem to have sadly managed it in picking up this place!"

"We booked a table of the patio for lunch which was lovely with views over the countryside but enough shade to be pleasant. Then another couple came and sat on the table next to us and the woman smoked the entire meal when she wasn't eating. Just because I want to sit outside doesn't mean I smoke or want smoke around me, they still need to have a dedicated non-smoking section outside for people who don't smoke. Why should non-smokers be forced to eat inside because of selfish smokers outside? Prior to coming here we had looked at their website and saw they did a great value €22 set menu, so when the waiter came over and handed us our menus we expected him to mention this, he didn't. There was nothing on the menu or anywhere else about this set menu and it was only when we asked the waiter about it that he reluctantly told us about it. How are people supposed to have this if no-body tells them about it? We had the set menu, and didn't see anyone else have it, probably because they didn't even know about it. Presentation was a bit lacking first course was squid ink black rice with calamari, great mound of rice with the tiniest bit of calamari, main course was much better, hake filet and steak with saffron potato and tomato, then dessert a huge slice of cheesecake for me and icecream tart for my partner, then coffee. The only things we bought on top of the set menu were water and wine. So overall the food was great here and excellent value if you have the set meal, but customer service was lacking in not telling customers about certain menus and sticking smoking and non-smoking people together outside. Our waiter seemed to have the entire patio area to serve and was very rushed which was reflected in his attitude to us, they really could do with employing more staff at peak times like Saturdays."
