"The Cafe-Restarant Rosengarten is located right outside the city centre, but close to the Open Air Museum. Here you can eat good and sufficient natural cuisine. The menu is rich and the portions are large enough to become rich. Friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere complete the cozy food. Not exceptional, but good."

"This is s typical Argentinian steakhouse in German style and so the decor seems very dated (as many do now). That aside, the menu is extensive (and available in English) and the wine list is short but the content is good. Four in our party all ordered different cuts, each cooked to different requirements. What we received was exactly what we had ordered and the quality of the meat met with everybody's approval. The salad buffet was well stocked with fresh ingredients and I saw it replenished during the service. The waiter offered an excellent wine which was well priced. Overall Not bad! Deserts were limited in selection and fell short on taste which just took the edge off an otherwise very good steak dinner."

"we had reserved a table for 4 people in advance. the reservation worked smoothly. unfortunately we got a little bit small table, so everything had to be put very tight. another table would have told us more to enjoy the great ambiente. we had fourteen 13 different tapas of which we 11 tasted very well. the other two have missed our taste. all in all very delicious food. the services were friendly, partly very friendly, but partly there were some longer waiting times because all the tables were occupied. because we were not in a hurry, it was not a problem. before our second tapas order and before the dessert the table was cleaned - top! everything in all we liked very well and we definitely come back."

"We dined at Overkamp’s a very famous restaurant in Dortmund, with family on December 1, 2017, in the middle of the famous days when the restaurant annually serves 3,000 roasted geese in 30 days – 100 a day. The wait was a little long, given...that we had reservations, but the wait was worth it. The tomato soup was hot, very tasty, obviously house-made and not canned. The salads were fresh and the bread was a specialty – served with spiced goose fat, which gave real flavor to the bread and a hint of what was to come. The proprietor, Herr Overkamp, personally brings to the table and carves each goose, and watching him is an experience in and of itself. Each bird is perfectly done, and one can choose one of the two choices – breast or leg and thigh – it’s all dark meat anyway, so take your pick. The goose is served with red cabbage, a stuffed apple, and potato dumplings, and lots of gravy. Nothing was other than wonderful. It’s certainly a place to which I would like to return."

"I am a masterpiece in the old gas house beautiful and can absolutely not understand the negative critikens.The carvings are always super - for me the best of all restaurants in hagen. I can only recommend to anyone to return there.My wife eats the calf liver and has never had anything to complain before. for the children there is also a small children's card and the owners are very child-friendly - they are handed out paintbooks and donations so that the little ones are busy.There are different beer varieties from the barrel and a beautiful beer garden in which you can sit comfortably in the sun in the afternoon/end. we have reserved for the training of our daughters. for such events is also opened without problems outside the regular business hours for one.For me, the old gas house is beautiful with a distance the top address in hagen for good-bourgeois kitchen!"

"Dies ist auch ein Restaurant, wo eigentlich die Bewertung 5 Sterne nicht ausreicht. Wir kennen den Besitzer schon, als er bei seinem Schwager im Lokal am Hagener Landgericht kellnerte. 1994 machte er sich aber selbstständig und eröffnete das International , welches zu diesem Zeitpunkt ein Ausflugslokal mit Kaffee und Kuchen war. Konituierlich wurde das Gebäude saniert, und ein toller Wintergartenanbau geschaffen. Da die Gegend etwas ländlich ist, hat er mit rustikalen Balkangerichten, Internationaler Küche und hervorragenden Steaks sein Umfeld zu Stammgästen gemacht. Kurzum der Laden brummt . Dies liegt an der hervorragenden Fleischqualität von Erzeugern aus dem Umfeld und gleichbleibender Qualität der Speisen. Von Montag bis Freitag gibt es einen preiswerten Mittagstisch. Ein schönes Salatbuffet rundet alles ab. An Feiertagen, wie z.B. schon mal am Maifeiertag wird auf dem Vorplatz ein Ochse gegrillt. Wir haben in den vielen Jahren, wo wir ab und an dieses Restaurant besuchen, viele, viele Gerichte probiert und nie gab fettes, oder sehniges Fleisch auf dem Teller. Hier lohnt sich die Einkehr ganz bestimmt."
