"if you want something else for lunch or dinner, this may be an option. pfannekuchen is a German pancake house that offers both sweet and hearty pancake dishes. they are very cheap and also serve drinks for adults. I enjoyed a speck filled with cheese, sink and spinach (in a teig) pancake. it was good and saturating with a good balance of all 3 ingredients. the only disappointment was the service. obviously my server did not seem to want to be there. I was here once, but I did not stay and the same waiter seemed not too interested. eating is good if they want a pancake meal. if you expect a culinary experience with attentive service, I could consider an alternative. I saw another couple going after a seemingly too short stay to eat something. opening times are not suitable for a pancake breakfast, as they open at 11 o'clock."

"we have been to mexcal several times. the hired are friendly and the selection of food is plentiful. we are more vegan and have been able to offer a vegan food, but it is always the same. Unfortunately, not even the chips are vegan as they fry other dinges in the oil. we find that very bad, because chips for my daughter are so standard. She is only 4 years old and doesn't value much in a restaurant. Generally, I find it a pity that a kartoffel can't be vegan, but we often find it when we eat out. Last time we were there, it was okay to eat, but nothing special – maybe we had enough of it. will take a while until we visit again. To be fair, however, I have to say once again that the personal is friendly and the choice for non-Vegans is plentiful and I have never heard a negative assessment of others."

"I enjoyed a meal at Gastatte Reichsadler on a midweek evening with my traveling companion. We arrived to find the bar and restaurant packed. One of the servers gave us little hope of finding a place to sit for dinner. Waiting patiently, the owner (I...assumed) was accommodating and found us a seat. This was not an english speaking establishment, nor the menus. We both had Schnitzels and they were generous and well prepared. The hunters variety was the best. Our beer choices were limited, but adequate. The prices were reasonable, especially for the portions provided. I also noted at an adjacent table that patrons were having steaks. They looked excellent for Germany! My experience has been that Germany tends to have expensive and not the best quality steaks from an American perspective. I may have to try a steak on a future trip. This is a locals place and if you are inhibited, you best not venture in if you are uncomfortable with that situation. I however highly recommend Gestate Reichsadler for good food and beverages."

"Das Essen war außergewöhnlich und sehr gut allerdings sehr wenig. Ich würde empfehlen die Hauptspeise zu nehmen. Allerdings preislich nicht ganz gerechtfertigt, da selbst die Hauptspeise nicht derartig sättigend war, wie zu dem Preis erwartend. Wir würden das Restaurant nicht erneut zum Abendessen auswählen. Das Brot was wir vorab bekommen hatten, wurde uns ebenfalls in Rechnung bestellt, was ja zum Teil nachvollziehbar gewesen wäre, wäre uns nicht geröstetes Toastbrot serviert worden. Da wir noch Dips übrig hatten,haben wir Nachschlag geordert. Daraufhin wurden uns erneute 3 halbierte Toastscheiben serviert, welche mit satten 9 € erneut in Rechnung gestellt wurden. Darüber waren wir etwas verwundert. An sich ist es ein Restaurant, welches beabsichtigt mit regionalen Zutaten außergewöhnliche Gerichte zu zaubern. Allerdings hat das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis im Endeffekt einfach nicht gepasst. Auch hätten wir uns bei einem Restaurant dieser Preisklasse beispielsweise Stoffservietten gewünscht. Dies als Verbesserungsvorschlag."

"Wir waren an einem Sonntag Mittag da, quasi als Belohnung für unsere morgendliche Wanderung. Das Wetter war top, deshalb haben wir im beschaulichen Biergarten Platz genommen (zur Inneneinrichtung kann ich deshalb leider nichts sagen) und wurden auch prompt freundlich begrüßt und bedient. Bei der Menüauswahl entschieden wir uns für einen Ouzo- und einen Souvlaki-Teller mit Pommes und Vorspeisensalat, plus extra Zatziki und zwei Getränke. Das Essen wurde nach einer kurzen Wartezeit gebracht und war geschmacklich absolut erstklassig. Der Vorspeisensalat frisch und knackig, das Fleisch (besonders das Souvlaki und Suzuki) zart und super gewürzt, die Pommes goldbraun und knusprig und das Zatziki wunderbar cremig. Einziger Kritikpunkt, den mein Mann bei seinem Ouzo-Teller hatte, war, dass ein klein bisschen mehr Gyros hätte sein dürfen. Aber wahrscheinlich haben uns die Betreiber angesehen, dass wir noch den Nachhauseweg vor uns hatten und der Ouzo auf's Haus hat es dann auch gerichtet ... Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder!"

"I have eaten with some workmates here last week, eating was very good and delicious, also very hot. the Christmas castle was very beautiful, but something too big for me, the kalbsschnitzel was huge and an excellent value for money. the place is located directly at the river, in the summer I can imagine that the place would be great to sit outside and watch the passing boats, it was too cold to me as the visit in winter was with - paying. would come back at my next visit in hameln."

"The ambience is really well designed, everything is kept in the Wildwest/Indian style, the staff is the hammer, very helpful, super friendly and really has a very sympathetic smile on the lips. Everything is clean and well maintained, even the sanitary facilities are very well maintained. The food is very delicious......... BUT, unfortunately, the foods are really anything but lush. Even my 9-year-old daughter was surprised when the dishes were served, although she ordered an adult portion, it was too little for her. If it were inexpensive, you could simply order it twice, but price/performance says unfortunately no, it is overpriced for the quantity. Nevertheless, I forgive a total of 3 out of 5 stars, simply because the overall package (except prices) is very harmonious and if you have only little hunger, these portions should be sufficient."

"Ich kann diesen Italiener leider nicht empfehlen. Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass der Italiener früher mal gut war aber mittlerweile nur noch herzlos geführt wird. Die Mitarbeiter wirken überfordert und chaotisch. Wir mussten eine Stunde auf unsere Getränke und 1.50h auf unser Essen warten und es kam nicht mal eine Entschuldigung sondern eher der Vorwurf man solle doch vorher das Essen ordern wenn man zu 10 kommt (hatten reserviert). Den Vorspeisenteller kann ich nicht empfehlen, da es kalte lieblos zugerichtete Antipasti waren die geschmacklos und wie vom Supermarkt geschmeckt haben. Die Hauptspeisen waren ganz lecker aber auch nichts besonderes, einzig die Pizza ist wirklich traurig. Sowas darf ein Italiener nicht anbieten. Das Bezahlen hat dann auch wieder gedauert. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen, schade."

"Stinke Sauer!! Wir hatten vor einer Woche einen Tisch bestellt, und standen heute vor verschlossener Tür. Angeblich wegen Krankheit. Wir haben Besuch aus Berlin und mussten danach nach einer neuen Location suchen, was auf einen Freitag Abend nicht einfach ist. Absolute Frechheit, keinen Anruf wegen Reservierung und auch der Zettel an der Tür kurz und knapp. Keine Entschuldigung!! Wir werden diesen Laden nie wieder betreten!!"

"We had breakfast in the café this morning and discovered that this formerly first-class café in Hameln has declined significantly. The prices are disproportionately high and the friendliness of the staff has declined sharply. The service was not only inattentive but also downright rude. A small glass of freshly squeezed orange juice (0.2 l) costs an impressive five euros. We were also given two types of bread, one of which was clearly from the previous day. When we had to complain about this, we instead received bread that was still frozen in the core. The breakfast platter was a disappointment across the board: hardly any vegetables, only tiny amounts of butter and generally far too small portions. Absolutely not justified for the high price. The quality of the food and service has declined massively. With the best will in the world, we can't give this café more than two stars. It's unfortunate that a once-good cafe has declined so much. Our visit today was a bitter disappointment and we hope that the café will improve soon!"
