"Set on a corner on West Green Road, the large windows invite you into an impeccably clean interior, stripped back industrial with re- claimed wood cladding and a grey/ green paint job; there's a raised long centre table and smaller two seaters around the perimeter; the owners have spent a lot of money getting the look just right (a far cry from the tradittional trattoria). There is a lot of Sicilian food on offer alongside the more main- stream Italian; a main menu plus a specials board with some fantastic dishes; nothing pretentious, just very tasty and simply presented; fried calamari, burrata (stuffed mozzarella with a mixture of the cheese and cream), rabbit Sicilian- style with capers, sun- dried tomatoes, herbs and black olives in a gorgeous clear stock, served with mashed potatoes; chicken milanese, panettone with lemon custard; a bottle of Sicilan red. A fantastic night: great food, excellent and friendly service; good conversation and of course, a chance to watch the world go by."
