"coming back from a holiday trip from Mitterfels/Bayern, at lunchtime we went to the restaurant “Zum red Ochsen” in Herziehaurach, which is located directly in the center of town on the market place. the house had an appealing lunch card and probably a moving story (see photo, so we wanted to return here. the facility was rurally simple, but clean and well suited to the bourgeois kitchen. After we had searched for a nice chat in the original restaurant, we deepened into the menu consisting of a day card and a fixed card with Bavarian (French). the house also has a beautiful beer garden, but we did not visit whether bad weather. if it is nicely warm and sunny, destined to sit here and to plait! ; the prices of the gasthof can be consistently termed moderate: the leberknödelsuppe in a terrine for 3,20 euro, the Franconian sour roast with 2 big knocks, 4 slices of bark and red cabbage for 8,90 euro had a very good price/performance ratio. but we decided to have kalbsragout, bierhaxe and ripple. a great choice, because the meat was tender and lean and the taste of all three dishes to be considered very good. as you can see on the photos, the portions are very large and the eating also looks appetizing. all in all a beautiful guesthouse with tradition! Conclusion: a highly recommended house for large portions of good bourgeois food to cheap trips. therefore my 5 star ratings !"

"Went to Chilli's, having been a regular at the namesake with just one "L", and expectations were for a similar chain restaurant experience, which are not the highest. This expectation was not met.The location is nice, inside an older building with a spacious floor plan. Outside it has a large porch and lots of space for outside seating, which I expect to be very nice in the summer but visiting in November obviously was not usable. The restaurant also has a customer parking lot on the premises, which is quite convenient. Service was good and speedy. Drinks were reasonably priced, not cheap but also not too expensive, pretty much right for cocktails, and the evening was off to a good start. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The Nacho starters were out of a bag, with a little bit of cheese on top, nothing that you couldn't have managed at home with ingredients bought from the supermarket and no cooking skills. Main dishes were not much better. The beef Quesadillas were tolerable but forgettable, as was the fajitas. The prawn quesadillas was a disaster, with mealy cheap prawns that made you stop after the first bite. The staff's reaction to the uneaten quesadilla was the kind of shrug that indicates the problem is known to the staff and no improvement can be expected, and no attempt was made to rectify the situation.Overall, the place has potential, but seriously needs to step up its act with regard to the food. As it is, it probably is an ok location for drinks if you can skip the bar food."
