"Proper pub. Proper food. Proper ale. We found this by fluke, travelling back from Lincolnshire. Thanks to Google Maps we popped in. We were not disappointed. Despite our visit being Aug 2020 (post lockdown) we were welcomed and served like the old days, but with a few safe measures in place. The food was excellent, the service matched that, and the location was perfect. This is a good old traditional pub with plenty of history that you can read about on the walls and very comfortable to be a part of. It’s family friendly and thanks to the great play area outside, good for kids too. Plenty of parking. Free WiFi. Good Beer Guide 2020. Really pleased we stopped."
