"When my wife went to the bar to inquire about our order, she was informed that the printer had run out of paper and our order hadn’t gone through. The staff offered to place our order again, but by then we were at the back of a queue of about a dozen orders. My wife declined the offer, and we chose to leave instead.
What frustrated us the most was that the landlady, who had taken our order, had seen that we were still waiting for food but did nothing to address the situation. Instead, she continued to sit at a nearby table, writing out the specials on a notice board, completely ignoring our complaint. There was no offer of complimentary drinks or any kind of resolution.
We ended the night at the Greyhound in Hickling, where we received excellent service and enjoyed a fantastic meal."
