"However, the fries were disappointing—some were very dark and even burnt, clearly overcooked—and the onion rings were very bland. As others have mentioned, the small amount of sauce you get for £4.95 is quite ridiculous! The desserts were mostly decent, although I ordered a tarte tatin and what I received was just a dry slice of apple on a piece of dry puff pastry.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was not great either. While the staff was polite, they seemed lacking in enthusiasm and were just going through the motions. We've visited Porterhouse several times in the past and used to enjoy it, but we feel the quality of food and overall value has declined significantly. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be returning."
