"The restaurant is open under the bridge and looks like a warehouse. When you ring the doorbell and open the door, you will see two different worlds. It is simple and yet designed with craftsmanship. It seems like nothing, but warmth emerges when you are in it. The person who greeted me was a lady with a strong Italian accent. It was a pleasure to listen to her introduce the food slowly, her final voice rose, and the questions turned into affirmatives. You completely believed her. The owner of this shop sells Italian pasta, but it also crosses into the fields of Germany, Poland, and Portugal, echoing the ethnic integration of the kitchen like the United Nations. I sat at an angle where I could see everything going on in the kitchen. It was very bear, very hot, and very picturesque. , The point is, it 's so delicious. The Speck board has aged ham, focaccia, pickles, and a side of burrata, the combination is perfect and the portion is just right. Chanterelle papardelle mushroom noodles with yellow French beans is also a must-have, refreshing and not burdensome. The waitress asked me how I liked the red wine she recommended. I replied, the white wine is great, but I have some reservations about the red wine. She didn 't say anything and immediately brought another bottle of red wine. You can try this. You conquered me like this, and this lyric suddenly flashed in my mind. What a Red Bird restaurant, gave me a great Sunday night. "Looking for brunch and having tried several vegan joints in mcr over the past few days it was time for PANC. The menu has 5 sections burgers, hot dawgs, kebabs, fried Chick’N and sides. Fast junk food with no real fresh healthy food, it’s exactly we wanted before a long drive. Grilled Chick’N Tikka Kebab £12. Chick’N tikka pieces on massive naan, topped with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onions, chillies, PANC garlic sauce guindilla peppers. It tasted really good with perfectly portioned salad and garlic to Chick’N. A massive meal though. We ordered a Manc ‘n’ Cheese £8, but it never came despite the lady reading it back. We also ordered the Cheesy Bacon Fries £8 but got a Bacon BBQ Cheese Burger! Her command of English was poor and I should have asked to see the receipt which she couldn’t pronounce, hence losing a star. Bacon BBQ Cheese Burger £9.50. Soya burger loaded with cheese, bacon, raw onion, lettuce. BBQ sauce, PANC sauce on a black bun, with fries Despite not ordering it, it was fantastic. The charcoal bun flavour with the huge patty, BBQ sauce and melted cheese was pretty awesome for a burger. Would I recommend. For junk food, yeah but check what you order before it’s made. Would I return? Even with lots of 100% vegan places in mcr Yeah. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £10–20"

"TL;DR Nice curry and good service, but I've had better. Ever since moving to Manchester I've wanted to try Akbar's everyone seems to say it's the best curry in town and the enormous queues would seem to back that up. Meeting up with a friend for dinner he suggested Akbar's so I finally got chance to give it a go. Upon arrival they'll give you an indication of how long you'll have to wait to be seated (45 minutes in our case) and give you a pager which buzzes and lights up when your table's ready. The waiting area is large, so even when it's busy there's space to spread out, but seating is in short supply. This was also the first place where we felt the place fell short when we bought drinks at the bar there were no beers on tap and the fridge had just been restocked so the beers we bought weren't all that cold. On top of that, they didn't have enough change in the till so we had a long wait. Finally we got to our table and our server was incredibly helpful, polite and courteous. You can't really fault the service. We placed our orders and then... we waited. It took a long time for our starters to come and they were... OK. Nothing wrong with them really, just not out of this world. I had samosas, Mark had pakoras and Tom had chicken tikka. It was a similar story with the main course a long wait and then our curries came which were nice, but nothing out of this world. The naan bread was great though absolutely enormous and just one was more than enough for three of us. The other thing we can't fault the place on is value. At the end of our meal we were a bit surprised by the bill and thought we'd been undercharged, but it was right. So if you come here and are prepared to queue, you'll get good service and a good meal at a decent price. But is it the best curry house in Manchester? I'm not so sure."
