"Bizarre experience last night after many nice meals in the past with great service. Everything was too much trouble for the 2 grumpy ladies behind the bar. No smiles. Lots of sighing and huffing it felt like we were inconveniencing them by being there. Food was nice but the staff on last night need to work on their hospitality skills. My grans 91st meal so a shame really but we managed to make light of it and enjoy ourselves. Disappointing and may not return. especially as they are thinking of charging 20 quid to bring your own birthday cake? I mean do you want people coming to your quiet country pub on a weeknight and spending hundreds of pounds or not?!"
