"because of the good trip advisor reviews we visited the safari with friends on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is a small piece away from the city, but still it was not difficult to find. When we entered the local African, we were kindly received and accompanied to our previously reserved, table.Through a projector, pictures from Africa are projected onto the free wall, this and the decorations are easy. the service staff was, seen throughout the evening, mostly friendly. the menu contains a few appetizers, main dishes, vegetarian dishes but also plates for 2 or more people. suitable for the African dishes are also the appropriate drinks. We ordered a cross beet through the card. I took the gored gored and as an appetizer petty bags filled with chicken meat. I ordered a passion beer. this came in a bowl I was allowed to drink. the appetizer was also pikant without sauce. However, the sauce was very sharp (for my conditions). but I was surprised! The main dish was very interesting and the bark was very delicate and tasteful very good. the sourded sourded bread is in need of reconciliation. it is very soft and has a slightly spongey resistance. with the help of the fladenbrotes you are the meat, like almost everything, with the hands. this was explained to us so by the service power. The meat was super not sharp, as I had feared before. our friends also tasted very good. no one went disappointed after home, all were full and satisfied. the passion beer was a small highlight..it had less of beer but a very great passion fruit taste! The prices are appropriate and the evening was a small adventure with new ones that we did not know before, and interesting drinks and all of this without cutlery and glasses! the food was delicious, the ambiente beautiful and the prices appropriate."

"first we wanted to call to book. that didn't go because nobody went to the phone there. after an hour in the waiting loop, we had no more lust and then just go. to the happiness was still enough space. when we were there, we wanted to order appetizers, of course from the map. mozzarella sticks -> "hamwer nich"Onion rings -> "hamwer nich" still something -> "hamwer nich" ok, then don't start for us. do they have anything at all? -> öhm. yes. the burger. wow, a court. impressive! well, then hold a round burger for us. has taken quite long, but we were patient. in time we have seen how other guests were served onion rings and mozzarella sticks! no sweat. to us it was said before that they had not. we've already been looking for the hidden camera! Well, then someday the burgers came. only one empty teller seen, then the lupe came out and there were in the burger on it! : but they were so inconceivable tiny, and I say that when 50kg of heavy female, equal to eleven, which usually does not even create a big moc of mcdonalds! the burgers were about as large as the hamburgers of mcdonalds. cost point between 8 and 13 euro. we were still looking for the hidden camera! matching the tiny burgers there was also almost no sauce and only a tiny piece of cheese. well, you have to stay true! :d a portion labbrige pommes with ketchup. The burgers were good, only too dry and above all too little. the self-made icy we had to drink was good. but I can make it home. we had 2 controls that one has left us all over the table, because it was obviously too lazy to walk three meters further! the other service was however flott and friendly. for them and the icy one is a star. otherwise I can only absolutely guess from the load. the crusty were also totally grounded and the soap was empty. but at least one remained true!"

"In the small Kaiserslautern district of Hohenecken. After we had visited friends on this day and were on the way back from a joint visit to the idyllic Gelterswoog Lake, hunger broke and we wanted to return somewhere before the trip home. On the way, the Hotel Restaurant Burgschänke looked at us, which should prove to be true happiness. One should listen to his abdominal feeling much more often. Below the Hohenecken castle, it is located directly on the main road, but not so loudly there is little transit traffic. From the outside very appealing with lush green terrace and sandstone fountain, inside several rooms, mostly rustically decorated with stone walls, open fireplace, wooden ceiling beams, knight armor wood furniture and pretty covered tables fresh flowers, tablecloths, candles and napkins color matching there is also a small, beautiful courtyard of the with lots of green, terracotta vessels and water elements to stay. We took in the south-eastern temperament, which was reinforced by the cute Piaggio Ape and the lush greenery, terrace area of the local square . The menu offers upscale farmhouse kitchen, but not raised with regional and seasonal impact e.g. French truffle soup, fish variations, dry Aged steaks, lamb, pearl horn ......... but also vegetarians, for example lentil bolognese, pancakes with ratatouille......... and lovers of defensive, peeled cuisine, garlic soup, slaughter plate......... is taken care of. A lunch table from Monday to Friday for 12.50 Euro and seasonal maps Keschdesupp, mushroom potpurri, asparagus......... as well as a separate dessert card and wine card complete the menu . We decided to: Kotelett vom Iberico Schwein mit Pflaumenjus, potato gratin und MarktgemÃ1⁄4se super tasty, especially the sauce for pig. Kalbsschnitzel Wiener Art with bar-saving gel and lock potatoes fine, here no wishes remain open to the Essen Rhababerschorle and after the food milk coffee. Here you feel comfortable and appreciated as a guest, which has become rare nowadays. The Burgschänke is a country hotel in the best sense and should I have to stay overnight in Kaiserlautern, I already know that there are rooms here that I will certainly try out on a suitable occasion."
