"What a find, just proves that Trip Advisor can still be relied upon! We were attending a concert at Pryzm and wanted food before we went so called in there and the gentleman was very friendly and attentive. Excellent service, prompt etc, and food was lovely we just had pizzas, but they were spot on. Not burnt like many chains do, and the base was a decent well made base, not like some chains. Whilst it was prompt service, you were not rushed and had plenty of time between a starter (just garlic bread to share) and the main meal. Very relaxing. Mains of Margherita, Siciliana, and Nico, all tasty and the Nico was spot on, flavoursome but not too spicy. Idea of aubergine on a pizza is a cracking idea and the wife loved it. Good selection of drinks and everything was very reasonably priced. Couldn't fault anything, and what makes a nice change is that there is no service charge added when restaurants do this, do reward them with a cash tip! It means a lot to them. Will definitely go again when down for another concert. Well done!"

"Massively impressed with the way they have dealt with the new Covid regulations, staff are openly telling people to wear masks when moving around, staff are fast for table service always checking if we needed more drinks so no need to call them, and last call was 9:30 meaning we had enough time to pay, finish drinks and leave for the 10 o’clock curfew! With all of this going on staff we’re still friendly and calm in their reminders about staying safe! Overall felt very safe having a night here with everything going on!"

"We had dinner here on Thursday night as a family of six. We found the restaurant to be very welcoming. Our waitress was absolutely lovely (sorry I didn’t catch your name)and was happy to chat to my children who were rather excited after a day at Chessington! She encouraged my daughter to try a shrimp and showed her how to peel it. She really helped us to have a lovely relaxed meal. The food was beautiful, lovely fresh fish and nice crispy batter. I had a portion of their curry sauce, which was actually the best I have ever had, followed by a fabulous homemade butterscotch tart. Accompanied by a decently brewed tea which was lovely and strong! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return if we are ever back in the area."

"We were walking around Surbiton the other day and decided to go in. Note: the name on the windows was “Le Café du Vin but it is the same place from what I can see.We didn 't check online first. We were visiting the area and just walked in.We were lured in because of the name on the windows “Le Café du Vin and we wanted to get something French. (I’m French so I fancied a bit of Home food for a change … Only the whole Menu was Italian, with a bit of Spanish thrown in ! Not one thing on the Menu was French. At all. Maybe the toasts and jam? There were no pastries left when we arrived.Don’t get me wrong: I love Italian food and Spanish food (I’m half Spanish after all but why advertise this as being a French place and put a French name on the door when there is nothing French about it…aside from the wines on sale, maybe? I didn 't really look at them. Even so, one would expect that if the wines were French, so would be the food.. Nope. Even the jars of foods (olives etc.. on the shelves looked mostly Italian.I don 't get it. In South East France (Provence-Côte D’Azur there are also plenty of Mediterranean dishes with olives, olive oil, tomatoes, peppers, fish etc. such as Pissaladière (Type of Pizza without a tomato base : only onions and anchovies , Pan Bagnat (bread roll filled with Salade Niçoise , Pistou (similar to Italian Pesto soup, Bouillabesse, Ratatouille etc.. . This means they could still advertise the place as being French and serve Mediterranean food if that’s what they want to do. France is a big country with very different cuisines depending on where you go. It’s not all butter, cream and beef bourguignon...Food itself was OK/Average. I wasn 't in the best of moods so I went for something simple: eggs on toast. Nothing to write home about but OK. We were disappointed because the menu was not what we expected to find and we didn’t want to drive park somewhere else again so we stayed put.Suggestion: What about renaming the place “CANTINA ITALIANA” and advertising it as an Italian type place which is what it is, kind of? At least there won’t be any confusion …"

"Booking system not working so pub had no knowledge of our booking so they arranged a table in bar. One main course came out before the starters, when questioned the staff asked if we had specifically requested that the mains came out after the starters!! Sticky toffee was horrible and cold when questioned the staff said it should have been hot but as we had eaten it there was nothing they could do. Overall would not recommend or return."

"I had a proper plate of fish and chips here. Chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The cod is crispy yet not greasy very impressed by this. The flesh was juicy and flaky too. It comes with mushy peas, tartare sauce, and a salad for around 15 quid. The food alone would've satisfied me, but the service was wonderful too. Very friendly and the food came out quite quickly. If you're craving fish and chips and you're in the area, this is a must try spot."

"I always like to believe that a good restaurant is good not just because of the food and drink but also the ambience and customer service and this restaurant has it all. Although the menu does not change very often they always have great specials that change daily and will bend over backwards to find something you will like. Great wine and beer choice and if all you want is a coffee no problem. What makes this a restaurant that my wife and I now frequent weekly is the welcome and service we alway get from the owner and his team better than anywhere else I've ever eaten and somewhere that I would recommend trying if ever you are in Surbiton."

"Being a regular goer to New Malden, I was curious about this restaurant but always had another place to go. But yesterday was the day. First impression was not great. As it was a Friday evening, the place was packed. We had a booking but...the staffs couldn't find a table and they probably have been happy if we told them we'll go elsewhere. And before giving us table, they were only asking if we intended to do a table BBQ or not. Being a timer, all seems be strange. Soon it made clear. This is an extended arm of next door butcher store. Customers for the tabletop bbq, need to purchase their favourite cut from the butcher next door and then bring them to the restaurant to cook it on the table top. Butcher had a good selection of cut in Korean style. Korean butchery is known for more detailed cuts and have varieties of speciality cuts for tabletop bbq like sec pork slice. We went for Wagyu sirloin, roll of marinated short rib aka Kalbi, and a pack of thin sliced short rib, came up to There is pp table setting charges which covers a tabletop bbq grill, types of Korean bbq sauces, side dishes, lettuce and garlic slices for wrapping. There is a restaurant menu to order popular Korean dishes like Jeon (pancake). But for us, it was bbq only time. We started with one chunky Wagyu sirloin. It was soft and buttery taste just melt in the mouth experience, superb! Thin sliced short rib had more texture but still tasty. And lastly the marinated kalbi was amazing. We couldn't get through all the meat so I came home with roll of beautifully marinated kalbi beef. Was the whole experience worth it? Definitely. The questionable welcoming service got better when I understood how they operated. It's DIY and I kinda enjoyed they left us alone. It's like eating at home (but no need to do clean up afterward). Most importantly, I enjoyed quality and variety of meat cuts. It's subjective matter but i felt was good price for a meat feast for two which incl. Wagyu and bottle of Cass beer. I will be happy to come back to this place very near future."

"We had a lovely time at Busaba. The location is great, right next to the Thames looking out over the river and Kingston Bridge. We had a selection of Thai dishes which all tasted amazing. We took our three children who hadn't really had Thai before so it was a bit of a gamble. It was great to see their faces light up each time they tried a new dish. Dispite being quite busy the service was very good. All in all a really nice experience. I would highly recommend."

"We stayed here for a weekend so we could visit Kew gardens and Hampton Court Palace. Its difficult for me to rate this place because most was great but some not so good. On arriving here we were greeted and checked in by a very friendly young man, he offered to take our bags when he showed us to our rooms. He explained how to work everything like the coffee machine and the great air conditioning which was a god send due to the hot weather. He was very knowledgeable of the area and took the time to talk to us. The breakfasts were delicious and we were served by a young girl on 2 of the morning who she was very pleasant and helpful. On our last morning a young man served our breakfast. The beds were comfortable with lovely crisp clean sheets. The shower was great with plenty hot water and lovely white fluffy towels. Toiletries are shared so I didn't use them. The free mini bar was an added bonus. The room had everything you needed for a short stay (Hair dryer Iron Ironing Board and a safe) Now the negatives: No shelf in the bathroom to put anything but we could live with that. Although the inside of the shower was clean the skirting around the shower and bathroom was very dirty with a lot of dust. The carpet was filthy so we kept our shoes on. I dropped a sweet that rolled under the bed and because I couldn't access it I pulled the bed and OMG! there was about 10 years of dust and debris under the bed I was gob smacked! The difference in colour was unbelievable. What a let down by housekeeping! Its a good job it was our last morning or else it would have put me off staying. Management need to be aware of this and housekeeping trained to do their job better or given more time to do a better job. The manager did not check us out or I would have mentioned it to him, the guy who served our breakfast checked us out. We stayed in room 6"

"This is the first time we have visited our local Italian restaurant since lockdown and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and good cleanliness. "Four of us came last night. Interesting menu. Lots that we all liked. We ended up sharing 5 starters, including naan and garlic naan, and then saffron chicken served with rice and salad. All delicious. It was a warm, summer’s evening, and we were sat in the restaurant, but the whole front slid open, so we benefitted from the breeze from outside. Finished with tea and baklava. Lovely baklava, not too sweet. No coffee available. Would have preferred a coffee! Efficient and polite staff. Thankyou."

"I like the Watchman and it proves to be a very popular place for lunch and a drink. The food is prepared well but some dishes appear basic. Sausage and Marsh is a wonderful dish very tasty and very filling . How to put a group of Us to ordered the old day English breakfast which they love . "beautiful hotel and gardens. in the afternoon very moderate. very disappointed by the service. had to ask for essential items such as milk and teaspoon for the tee! also expected that they will offer the plate change during the further promotion to the desserts from the sandwiches, and also at different tees. surprisingly with the reaction when we mentioned some of this on a male member of the personal. he said he was surprised that we addressed this, as we seemed happy that the waitress makes our photos! very strange to say. the waitress has managed to completely cut one of my friends in all 3 photos! this is a great place to go if they want to admire the intent and it would have been nice outside if it were sunny. However, do not have high expectations for the food and service. I wish I had spent a little more and went to one of the nicer hotels in london. I should say that when we rediscovered our minds with another waitress, they could offer us even more sandwiches. I think one of the problems was probably bad training of junior staff."

"Sarada is truly a fabulous find in Surbiton, Surrey. I've been a loyal Prithi patron for the last twelve years that I've been visiting Surbiton/Kingston-Upon-Thames. Although I'll not abandon Prithi I assure you that a visit to Sarada will be on my dining itinerary on all future visits to Surrey. My son and I enjoyed two dinners at Sarada as we sampled the menu from top to bottom. We found the recipes to be quite diverse and the ingredients of our dinner selections to be wonderfully fresh. Although the service can be a bit surly from time to time that's all a part of the most eclectically enjoyable encounter of the Sarada scene. Don't miss out on the nice selection of Indian beers and other beverages served at a reasonable price."

"We had pre booked a heated booth in the garden for Sunday lunch as did not wish to be inside. It’s a pity that it wasn’t very busy at all but understandable that people are being cautious in the run up to Christmas with the high Covid 19 numbers. We both had roasts, me chicken and husband beef, served pink as requested. Our meals were nothing like that of the last reviewer who judged them poor, we found everything was super tasty and perfectly cooked. The selection of 6 different vegetables were all lovely, served with a huge Yorkshire pudding and a good serving of gravy. We couldn’t fault a thing, husband cleared his plate. Totally delicious and very good value for money. Our only slight complaint would be, that the booth heaters are on timer switches which are set to automatically switch off far too quickly, so it feels like you are constantly having to switch on again. We’ve had burgers and pizzas in the past and thought they were good but the roasts were excellent and we shall return!"

"Shocking. I can’t believe a company as large as Merlín would allow such an embarrassing restaurant to operate in their own hotel. I can now understand why they charge you as before you eat; I can’t imagine anyone would pay once they’d tried the pathetic food on offer. A selection of roasted meats sounds good at first until you get back to your table and find the beef is so chewy it was inedible and the turkey so dry it resembled cardboard. I took a video of the fish fingers to show how solid they were. You could have knocked nails in with them. They were so dehydrated that there wasn’t actually any any fish left inside! The common factor throughout every dish was that they were stone cold. Not warm, cold. The churros must have come from the same place as the fish fingers. They were solid. We really couldn’t find enough to eat that would have justified the kids price let alone the adult’s ridiculous price. Nearly a hundred quid for five of us including the flat, refillable if you could be bothered, soft drinks. If my review can save even one family making the same mistake that I did I’ll be happy. Merlin and chessington are obviously satisfied with ripping customers off who have already paid a handsome sum to stay in the hotel by their lack of response to any of the bad reviews, of which there are many."

"Our recent visit to Han left much to be desired. Despite having made an advance reservation, our table was not prepared, and we were inconvenienced by a mid-starter table change. While the food quality remained consistent, the unapologetic and unfriendly demeanor of the staff persisted, even as they shuffled us from table to table. Although they did offer discounts on our bill as a form of amends, we had come for a delightful dining experience, not to seek compensation for subpar service. All in all, we have reservations about returning in the future."
