"We arrived before 6pm on a Friday evening. First we were greeted with an over-friendly and very loud 'Buona sera'. Then we were asked if we had reserved. When we said no, it only went downhill from there. Us was the husband, our 2,5 year old and me. As we arrived in Kochel a few hours before, we decided spontaneously to eat there. I am used to making reservations in Munich restaurants weeks in advance (which takes out all spontaneity and fun of an evening for me), but we're talking Kochel am See here, a very sleepy town in the alpine upland, pre-season!We were seated outside on their terrace, feeling lucky that it had an awning attached as it was pouring down with rain.The service was extremly slow and the food was really just about mediocre. We had their mushroom risotto and pizza hawaii. Both dishes were pretty tasteless and the pizza was very dry."

"At first we were impressed by their menu an interesting mix of Bavarian and French specialties (we learned that the owners are French, but have long lived in Germany). We were also impressed by the wide and fresh selection of... Fish and seafood available, really not typical of this region! Everything was well prepared and spiced, the service was a high standard... there was really no fault to find, and if we are back in the area, we will definitely return!"

"For me, the Wallerei is more than just food, drink, and sleep, and a real insider tip if you want to stay right by the beautiful turquoise waters. Upon arrival at the Wallerei, you'll receive a friendly welcome and be personally escorted to your room. I like the style of the room. A 70s look in the bathroom with modern charm, perfectly combined. It's clean and has everything you need, without any frills. I particularly liked the Bluetooth speaker and the bathrobe in the room. For spontaneous hikers who decide to go hiking in the mountains but arrive without any equipment, a hiking backpack was available in the room. I love the attention to detail and the scent of pine in the shower gel. : The breakfast is simply a dream, with selected, regional, and homemade dishes and just the thing if you're starting the day with a swim in the lake. A day couldn't start better. The beer garden serves simple dishes. The Bavarian potato salad is highly recommended. The highlight of this accommodation is a sauna right on the lake. It invites you to relax and unwind. We'll be back, that's for sure!"

"Wir waren in den letzten Jahren während unseres Urlaubs immer dort essen. Auch in diesem Jahr hatten wir gehofft wieder schön essen zu gehen. Leider sind wir enttäuscht worden. Meine Nudeln mit Muscheln waren schlecht gewürzt und schwammen in Brühe. Das Kalbsfilet mit Steinpilzen meines Sohn war totgebraten, die Sauce war eine einzige Pampe und schmeckte zudem nach Salbei. Die übrigen Gerichte der Familie waren ok aber für den Preis nicht angemessen, einfach null acht fünfzehn.... Der Service war gut, aber vom Essen waren wir total enttäuscht. Wir werden im nächsten Jahr nicht mehr wiederkommen."

"Kein Restaurant im ursprünglichen Sinn, 2 Holzhüttchen, ein Zelt, ein grosser Biergarten mit Minigolfplatz. Wir sind oft in Kochel und da wir ganz in der Nähe wohnen, gehen wir gern mal ins Minigolf. Im Winter ist es aufgrund der räumlichen Beschränkungen sehr urig und simpel, im Sommer kann man wunderbar draussen unter Bäumen sitzen. Wenns voll ist, ist die Chefin als Bedienung auch gern mal überfordert, aber sehr nett. Koch und Inhaber ist Österreicher und das merkt man: Schnitzel Wiener Art macht er super, die Pommes sind Weltklasse. Und das Backhendl ist Spitze. Gibt auch Tagesgerichte, Schweinshaxe kann er auch sehr gut. Für den kleinen Hunger hab ich auch schon mal dort eine Currywurst/Pommes gegessen, die war auch lecker und deutlich über Imbiss-Niveau ....Die besten Restaurants in meiner Nähe"

"He used to be good, not now. Quality of ingredients inadequate (original sauces etc., service personnel mega overwhelmed, eternal waiting times at higher visitors rank, institution that has come years, cooking staff, smoking goes and untreated in the kitchen etc. The only positive is the view that seems to be melted to the end... Too bad they liked to be here."
