"la ferte bernard is a pretty beautiful city with a picturesque town square. directly at the city square is the hotel du stade. we were here for a night with the halfboard offer for two. 95 euro include room, dinner and breakfast for two people. the hotel itself has somehow come down and needs a refreshment. the room was on the smaller side and although it was clean, it also needed some refreshing. the personal was very kind, tried to speak English when I tried to speak French. I think most customers in this hotel are workers who have traveled from other countries. the dining room is quite large as it could accommodate a large party or high-time reception. both dinner and breakfast were served here and there were only a few other people who had dinner. there was a chilled buffet cartridge that contained cold dishes such as pasta salads and kartoffeln, and they could help each other as much as they wanted. the choices for the hot part of dinner were either steak or omelet. my wife thought the omelet was good. but my steak was still raw, and they also served dessert. we had cream brûlée and a passionate fruit dish. both were okay. the breakfast was easy; only coffee, yogurt, baguette, croissant and juice. the hotel du stade is a good place to stay. if they don't mind staying in a hotel that doesn't need an update, it's a pretty cheap dinner and place to spend the night."

"La Ferte Bernard is a fairly nice town with a quaint town square area. Just off of the town square is The Hotel Du Stade. We stayed here for one night taking advantage of the Half-Board offer for two. 95 Euros includes a room, dinner and breakfast for two people. The hotel itself is kind of run-down and definitely needs updating. The room was on the smaller side and even though it was clean, it also needed some refreshing. The staff were very friendIy, trying to speak English when I was struggling to speak French. I think most of the clientele at this hotel are workers who have travelled from elsewhere. The dining room is fairly large, like it could accommodate a large party or wedding reception. Both dinner and breakfast were served here and there were only a couple of other people also having dinner. There was a refrigerated buffet cart that contained cold side dishes such as pasta salads and potatoes, and you were able to help yourself to as much as you wanted. The choices for the hot portion of the dinner were either steak or omelet. My wife thought the omelet was pretty good. My steak however was still raw. They also served dessert. We had creme brûlée and a passion fruit dish. Both were ok. Breakfast was simple; just coffee, yogurt, baguette, croissant and juice. The Hotel Du Stade is an ok place to stay. If you don't mind staying in a hotel that badly needs an update, it is a fairly inexpensive dinner and place to spend the night."
