"My first two choices were closed Sunday evening so I selected this restaurant off the canal. It's bright and cheerful, with lots of regulars and a dog. If you have not been to France before, be prepared for dogs accompanying their owners in restaurants. Be assured that their dogs are better behaved than children from some countries worldwide. Firstly, the service was fine, though a bit slow and disconnected from me, a single diner, definitely not as attentive as many others in this part of France. I started out with a glass of Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge by the glass at $7.50 Euros that was a good value, full and round. There was only a la carte, so l ordered a mixed salad as a starter, that was huge, with lots of veggies and a delicious balsamic dressing. My main was duck breast, which I wanted to experience before I left France. It was tasty, but a tad dry, with pommes frites, which were good, but lacked the crispness present in outstanding fries. It also had salad, similar to the one I had as a starter. Overall, the quality was slightly above average with fairly good value. They also have outdoor dining, which is a plus in warmer weather."
