"Upon arrival, we were presented with branded bottles of water, one sparkling and the other still, which initially seemed a thoughtful touch. However, both variants were undrinkable, tainted with a pervasive chlorine taste that was both startling and unpleasant, leaving an enduringly unsavory aftertaste. The first course, consisting of shrimps with gnocchi, was passable, though it barely met the expectations for such a dish. The absence of essential condiments such as pepper, salt, or olive oil on the table was a notable oversight, detracting from what could have been a more tailored taste experience. The main course, a baked fish served with vegetables, was profoundly disappointing. The fish emitted an off-putting odor, indicative of less-than-fresh fare, accompanied by a texture that oscillated between undercooked and overly soft, failing to offer the firm, flaky consistency expected of properly prepared seafood. The accompanying vegetables were equally underwhelming, lacking any discernible flavor, reminiscent perhaps of having been rinsed in the same chlorinated water that marred our initial impression. Such experiences compel me to question the culinary standards and operational ethos of this establishment. The fundamental expectation of any restaurant is to offer edible, enjoyable food and drink. This restaurant not only falls short of meeting these basic criteria but also leaves patrons with an experience that is, quite frankly, regrettable. Immediate corrective action is essential, though, based on this visit, a reassessment of the establishment’s viability might be more apropos."

"Someone told me that this is one of the few historic restaurants in Livorno, in fact, thinking back, my memories of the external sign date back to when I was a child. However, I had never had the chance to go there to eat. And what better occasion than for dinner on December 31st, which is notoriously not the best evening of the year to go out to eat. However, there are always exceptions and this restaurant is confirmation of this. First of all, we managed to find a place practically the day before the New Year's Eve dinner, but I think in this case we can talk about luck. There are two menus to choose from, one from the sea and one from the land, but it was also possible to order à la carte and this alone is worth a lot, it is difficult to find a restaurant that allows you to order à la carte for dinner. But let's talk about the dishes, they are of excellent quality, delicious and sufficiently abundant, among all that I have tasted I would like to point out the black linguine with lobster and the sliced tuna. I would say the service was good, a few small hiccups but nothing serious, the place is not very large so I recommend booking in any case. The bill? For two for a menu and an à la carte order total 79 euros, not even 40 each... It is obvious at this point that we need to return to it Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Patatine Fritte, Tagliata Di Tonno Fresco, Tagliolini Neri Con Salsa Di Astice"
