"I was visiting a friend in Bad Durkheim for the annual Wurstmarkt, when we visited this restaurant on her recommendation. The restaurant looks like a house on the outside, but upon entrance, there is parking space for a couple of cars. We dined al fresco,...in a pretty garden with grapevines twirling down from the trellises above, watching the sun as set. It was an idyllic experience that one simply does not get in the city. The interior of the restaurant was quaint, quiet and comfortable. There were a choice booths for seating and tables and chairs. What really was helpful were the menus in English, as I do not speak much German. I ordered the Rumpsteak mit Pfifferlinge a rump steak with chanterelle mushrooms in a brown gravy. The portions served were generous, steak was done well, and mushrooms were fresh and plentiful. The natural fruity aroma and the peppery taste of the mushrooms complemented the beef perfectly. The steak came with a side salad, which I might add, was generous in serving as well. It was almost equivalent to the size of an al a carte salad. The plate was piled full of fresh greens, and dressed with a delicious, light, tangy dressing. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. I enjoyed my meal here immensely, and I consider my meal at Backstubb to be one of the best I've had in Germany. I would return again and again, and recommend Backstubb highly. Sehr lecker"

"as I have eaten over 100 times at this smell, I allow myself to write this review. well-founded isn't going...to the appetizers: absolutely try! to eat without either peperoni, or the champignons or the grilled cheese or or or to taste would be really a pity. the sauces are a pleasure. To the main dishes: one of the few restaurants that still have a wood charcoal grill. my absolute favorites: 1. kalbssteak, 2. kavala platte 3.enspieß mit chiliich then always count on the salat to have more space for appetizers, main dish and dessert . then a Greek farmer's salad is ordered. tastes great!Afternoon: there I am picky. clearly after over 100 visit in the last 30 years. just ask what there is. if you're lucky, the wetin has prepared something special. if that's the case, just access. otherwise simply proceed after taste and depending on the number of starters. my wife and I sometimes just drink a Greek mokka as "dessert".More information: I strongly recommend parking in the parking lot mottstrasse. from there it is only 100 meters to foot. the garage costs 1-2 € for a restaurant visit. this is well-invested money, as parking is not so easy in the hemshof.Special topic wein: I am not a winemaker and do not allow me to judge from this reason. I also prefer to drink either rioja red wine or pepper white wine. both no wine regions greeland);-to service: as the owner - couple the restaurant also operate together for several decades, they are a well-established team. to the thema service I would always contact the wetin. to the spatialities: traditional Greek"
