"terry and I discovered le relais years ago when we visited mael carhaix. the city itself is a very honest little place. no frills approach to life, and this translates to this little jewel of an ortes. the restaurant is open only for two hours a day and is especially there to meet the needs of the workers close by. it's always busy, so get early! there is only one menu, the menu of the day. it changes every day and is always available for review outside on the chalkboard. on every table you will always find a bottle of merlot and a bottle of water and a few French brot. a typical menu would be a starter, main, cheese board (more brot) and a selection of desert. amazingly, the whole experience translates less than 13 euro per person. good service, good, honest eating and absolutely great value! what is not to like?"
