"My wife and I spent three nights at Henneberger Haus, ate a dinner at the restaurant and had a great breakfast every morning. We cannot recommend the beautiful, well-run place enough. Our room was huge and overlooked the main resistance. It had so many historical dates and such character, while also a modern, well-equipped bathroom. The lamb I had an evening for dinner was juicy and perfectly prepared. Our hostess, Kerstin, was friendly and attentive. She even packed us a lunch for the train. The stay was a highlight of our 2 weeks in Germany. And beautiful Meiningen is worth a look."

"Sehr schön gelegen am Rande des Marktplatzes. Man kann gut draußen sitzen. Bedienung freundlich und flott. Essen okay. Einen Punkt Abzug wegen fehlendem Beilagensalat bzw. Salatgarnitur. So sind Schnitzel mit Pommes doch recht trocken."

"We spontaneously went to the Goldener Zwinger with six people on a Tuesday evening. We and our dog were warmly welcomed. For me, this was by far the best service I have experienced in a long time. Very attentive and personable. All dishes were homemade and extremely tasty. In addition to the menu, there are also daily or weekly specials, which is a very nice addition to the regular menu. We all ate a starter, main course and dessert, plus a bottle of wine, several beers, soft drinks, water and finally coffee this is also what the price of €40 50 per person refers to. The price performance ratio is very good in terms of ambience, quality of service and food. We'd love to come back!"

"Wir haben dort vorzüglich gespeist, authentische italienische Küche sehr lecker, unbedingt zu empfehlen. Die Inhaber und das Personal waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Restaurant ist nicht sehr groß, eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen. Es befindet sich im gleichen Gebäude wie das Hotel an der Kapelle , eine ideale Kombi. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Meiningen kommen wir gerne wieder."

"Wollten uns ein Softeis gönnen, mittlere Portion bestellt und das Eis ragte vielleicht 1cm über die Waffel... Für 2,50 € Ich war so perplex, dass ich es genommen habe und gegangen bin. Im Nachhinein ärgere ich mich, dass ich den Verkäufer nicht gefragt habe, ob das sein ernst war. Geschmacklich war das Softeis übrigens auch nicht gerade ne Wucht"

"we like to eat in the bombay because it is simply super tasty. but we have at least four times. 1.5 to 2 hours are waiting for food, although each time a delivery time of about 55 minutes has been displayed."

"Seven of us came to Meiningen for dinner last night of our trip and were not disappointed. Good food (and we especially appreciate the senior dish smaller parts of the main dishes for older people). There was an Amuse Bouche to begin and... my melt in the mouth pork cakes were very delicious and served with dumplings, a local specialty. We had a selection of good wines (the unexpectedly tasteful Saale Unstrut) and on this special evening enjoyed the pleasant experience outside in sunshine against the background of the elegant Elisabeth Castle."
